It's the right decision at the wrong time. Leaks at every club now but seems worse for us, as under Ferguson it was tight-lipped most of the time.
Fair enough, leave conte taking care of his Toupee not our football club.I think whoever is coming in will be exclusively in a caretaker capacity.
We're a full blown circus at the moment. We just need Fellani to dye his hair like a rainbow and we're done. We’re such a ridiculous club at the minute.
I did tbh that’s about 99% of my good mood right now, this is just the 1% icing on top of that
That's drifting dangerously towards the "what problems could people that rich have?" line of reasoning that's always so silly.
Regardless of money received, being publicly embarrassed on top of being widely deemed a failure at your job is going to hurt. You'd have to be fairly lacking in empathy to genuinely think people wouldn't care just because they have money.
Though you're right about choosing the manager being the main priority. Neville always speaks about this trend starting when we sacked Moyes but in reality it started when we made the mistake of appointing him.

The news is not a shame. But the leaking to the press is.

I would disagree. If we'd have given Jose £1b to spend on his own brand new team, like certain other manager, I'm pretty sure we'd have mopped up. But we don't work that way!Explains the press conference this morning. Jose was a defeated man and looked resigned to being sacked.
Thanks for the 2 and a bit years Jose, but you're done as a top level manager. Some fresh ideas and impetus needed.
What other big job will he get? If they offered him a caretaker job and a fulltime role based on performance that would be decent. I dont see who else we can get with experience in the league and who can get a team to play footballEgo is exactly why he wouldn't take it. Conte doesn't strike me as the type to keep someone else's seat warm for them.
I know you are a pundit Gary, but are you trying to make the board re-think this decision!?
Some rival fans CLEARLY have kidnapped his family and is making him defend Mourinho.
Liverpool supporting mate just messaged saying he hopes we don’t get Rodgers.
I find it funny that some people feel hurt on Jose's behalf and demand he gets shown respect. This is a man who has disrespected numerous people throughout his career and treated several people like shit. He'd throw anyone under a bus to protect his ego. He deserves no respect from us so feck him, good riddance.
Ouch, wouldn't it be so unfair if Mourinho got a taste of that medicine?

He still thinks Moyes should have been given more time, man is deluded. No wonder his managerial career was so short.Ffs Gary is spot on.

He could literally go to any of Europes elite. He has a great track record, he's won titles everywhere he's been. You won't see him at Barcelona but I bet Madrid will take a punt on him when Lopetagi gets fired. Allergi is also in the final year of his contract and Conte is a Juventus fave. I don't see why he would want to come and put his reputation on the line by trying to fix us, only for someone else to come in and finish the job next season. What other big job will he get? That’s bollocks, Pep has had £500 million give or take. Mourinho has had what? £350-400 million. Exaggerating much?I would disagree. If we'd have given Jose £1b to spend on his own brand new team, like certain other manager, I'm pretty sure we'd have mopped up. But we don't work that way!
Deluded, is he really so out of touch?
