Cuadrado

Think people are been a bit harsh, he hasn't been great but if we are seriously in for him which let's be honest nobody knows, then we must have done our homework with the sort of fee that's been mentioned, alot of top players have had some shockers this WC, Ozil, Di Maria, Rooney! to name but a few.

I can't see LvG being interested. Probably just agent nonsense.

I have never known a transfer window like it, so early on, considering there is a WC going on. What will it be like when its over?

A World Cup should never decide whether or not you go for a player. Cuadrado was quality in the Serie A.

Looks like the exact opposite of what we need, all power and pace, rather then technical ability and intelligence.

This is why you don't hype up players in the WC. One minute they're world beaters, the next they're shit.

Same applies to Rodriguez, Martinez, etc.

He just had a poor game like any other player has. Its frustrating for Columbia but he's human and can't play well every game.

Rodriguez was a €45m player before coming to the WC

It may only be one bad game. However, his decision making and the playing IQ he displayed were atrocious. I can see him as a good wing-back, because there he doesn't have to do much more than running and crossing, but as a right winger? No, thank you.

Alot of people are basing this on his display in this one game, because he has had a brilliant worldcup so far, ofcourse the star in the Columbian team is James but the second best player is no doubt Cuadrado.

He had a bit of an unfortunate game, made alot of wrong decisions and he ran himself stuck to many times. However this is a special game tonight, the intensitiy is higher then he'll ever experience again, no even in a CL final do you see such intensity and such pressure, it is not always easy to make the right decisions if you gotta play at such tempo and under such pressure. He has shown at Fliorentina this season and also in the previous games of Columlbia that he is a far more intelligent player than many are giving him credit for right now.

I'd happily take him, I think he would be a very good player for us on the right wing and he would fit Van Gaals game brilliantly. I wouldn't pay £40m for him, but i'd be more than happy if we could get him for like £30m or something. I'd prefer it if we got Di Maria or Sanchez but if those players wouldn't want to come to us, I'd be more than happy with him, looks like a fantastic player.

In a bad game Rooney looks like he has too bad a touch to play as a forward

We shouldn't read too much into one poor performance. He's shown in all the other matches he's a good winger so he's clearly that

It's not the first time his decision-making has been questioned though.

I do think he's a good winger though, just not worth spending €30-40M for, especially for a top club.

Reminds me of Yannick Bolasie, can beat players for fun but frustrating with his decision making.

His decisionmaking really isn't so bad... people need to get a grip, this is a very difficult game because of the intensity and it isn't a benchmark for his intelligence as a player. He has shown genius moves already at this worldcup in other games and he has shown plenty of it at Florentina.

He is fecking nothing like Yannick Bolasie...

Pretty much the case with most of the Colombian team tonight, getting into good areas then screwing up. Not sure if it was the occasion or what, they certainly didn't give the best account of themselves.

He's decent enough but we certainly don't want to be going near him for that sort of money. He's a Valencia type of player IMO.

It is the intensity of the game, you need to play so fast, that when you try to speed it up you overdo it and end up screwing things up. If he would be capabel of finding all the right passes at this kind of tempo and under such pressure he would be an elite worldclass player and not be available for us but already playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona or something (and be one of their best players).

Most games we play here at United aren't even at half the speed that this game was. Nobody in our team would be capabel of playing a really good game while under such pressure. No doubt he plays far more insightfull when the games are at normal tempo, I'am not saying he has got the playing Intelligence of somebody like Iensta, he definitely hasn't, but people are making him out like he is as bad as Valencia or something, which is complete bullshit. Cuadrado would be one of the most intelligent players in our team together with Mata, Kagawa, Januzaj, Herrera, Rooney and RVP. Add to that he is work rate, he'd be one of the best workers in the team together with Rooney and Valencia, his technical ability which not many in our team would be able to match and his pace which nobody in our team would be able to match, plus the fact he is a natural right winger that can also comfortably play on the left and you got yourself a cracking player.

He has got the pace and work rate of Valencia, but unlike Valencia he can get passed his man and he can actually give a decent cross, and he is not as one dimensional as Valencia either. This guy is actually what Valencia should have been for us.

The first time this tournament. He's set up the most goals out of all the players there for a reason.

I dont know what he's worth but I know he's one of the best wingers around at the moment and unlike some of the others, he plays at 100% when he's picked on the left or right wing. Di Maria has had great form as a central midfielder in a 3 and Sanchez is probably better as a forward using his pace and dribbling through the middle. I think they are better players and would expect them to cost more anyway

People are so knee jerk
Been having an excellent tournament, loads of assists, has one poor game and everyone is against him. Irregardless of the previous 4 games and how good he is in serie a.

It's a bit like Cavani for me. Good player, would love him here but the prices being quoted around are a bit ridiculius. Seems like everyones out to rip us off.

Now it's knee jerk in the other direction. I thought he looked very good in the last few games and he set Rodriguez very well up in the last game. Obviously no one's seen 40m worth, and Fiorentina will never get close to that (20-25m would even be breaking the ceiling) but along with Origi, he's the one exciting player who I've noticed this tournament that I didn't know about. Origi on the other hand is much younger...

watched him quite a bit last season in the seria A. He is pacy and athletic, but not smart. His decision making is bad. Three good worldcup games dont change that. He is a better version of valencia. Paying 40m for him is almost like paying 50m for Luiz.

He's fast and will work for the team. Other than that he's completely different to Valencia

Plays either side left or right
Can use left and right foot
With them he has a dangerous shot
He scored 11 goals for Fiorentina last season. Valencia has 13 in his whole career at United

He had a poor game but he played well in Colombia's other matches, some here are being incredibly harsh.
