Would love this guy. I think we definitely need someone new. We should ship Young and possibly Nani. Promote Zaha and Lingard, have Adnan and a new signing as the first choice, with Valencia as cover.

what people forget is that Fiorentina just bought him last year for 20m €. It is normal (in todays market) that they expect 30-40m for him now. He made a huge step this season.
Just like Roma with Benatia or Strootman, they buy them for 10-20m € and sell for 30-40m.

They bought his other half for €15m not €20m but yeah, either way they'll want around €40m I reckon.

Never seen this guy play before this tournament but he does look to have the attributes of a United winger. I think the rumours are purely because of the World Cup, have seen him linked to a few clubs. I think a signing like this would all come down to van Gaal's plans for Zaha.

It's understandable people questioning his talent and reported price, but I honestly feel if we signed him he'd be a huge success. Been one of the best players in Italy last season.

Whats Sanchez's playing style like in comparison to Cuadrado and Di Maria?

Cuadrado plays like a dribbling machine that lacks a bit in end product. But he's got all the tricks and is unpredictable though and is lightning quick.

Exactly the player we need! Valencia's replacement basically. Can see him being a fan fav.

It seems we have decided on him. Sanchez was not interested because of no CL it seems, and Di Maria is linked to PSG.

Well, it's true that we miss pace and players who can beat (and note bite) their opponent.

But I don't know how he'll fit in our team. I mean will he be a regular starter ? Where will play Mata, Rooney, Valencia ? Does Adnan will get a part time role in this team ?

I saw a lot from him this season at Fiorentina, and he was good, but he was never as good as Reus for example, even in his potential.

I see him as a very good player (better than Valencia attacking wise, more regular than Nani, and FAR better than Young, but nowhere one of the best in the world.

We don't! Problem solved.

I can see Di Maria ending up at PSG. If he does we should try for Lucas Moura again.

His naturally a right sided player so he won't affect Rooney, Mata or Januzaj. And Valencia has had two seasons of awful wing play who shouldn't be a starter.

Sorry to bring it up, but isnt/wasnt that what Ronaldo used to be described as, back in the days?

Yeah Cuadrado is not 20! Plus he has end product, don't know what the other guy is talking about.
Yeah, having seen him, and read about him, he is probably nothing like CR, still impressed big time this season and WC:)

Cuadrado reminds me more of Neymar than Ronaldo, he's got super fast feet and likes a trick or two, also he looks pretty tough, been kicked all over the place in the world cup and he just gets up and gets on with it.

My only real concern is he's 26 and only just come onto the radar

We were accredited with an interest in him last season - I think he's been playing well in Italy for a few seasons now, but last season in particular he added more goals to his game.

For the prices I've seen quoted (£32m), I can think of no valid reason to go for this guy over Sanchez.

Seems more of an out and out winger, picking the ball deep and driving forward, Sanchez is more a player for the final third, depends what your after I suppose.

Yep, that's the downside. However, both RVP and RVN (and of course many more) were late bloomers. Perhaps Cuadrado represents how Valencia could have been (and should have developed into).

Each player develops at different rate and some are late bloomers. Him being 26 should not be used against him.

Would be a great signing for us and I have no doubt that Van Gaal will use him correctly. Contrary to what people think, he's better on the left than on the right. There he cuts in and does his best cristiano impression. Quick feet, incredible speed, works hard, creates chances and scores goals. Basically what we're looking for in a winger.

Those asking why he's suddenly popped up from out of nowhere have to understand that he's been used as a fullback for the majority of his career. The same way the change to fulback gave Dani alves a boost, a change to a wide forward has done the same to him. That's another reason to seriously consider signing him. He can play rightback to a very high level as well as an attacker. That's a versatile player that would help us loads considering the injuries we seem to suffer in defence.

Would be a great signing IMO.

Completely different types of players, but if that's what he should do in your eyes, your standard for him is very low. This lad can do much more than give good crosses and beat the defender by pace.

Good and dangerous crosses in a constant way is the minimum i expect. If he can also contribute successfully in other ways, much better.

By the way, when playing on the right, Cuadrado style is very similar to the on form Valencia style back in the day (they even share a typical dribbling...). Cuadrado is the better shooter and can play on the left. Wouldn't say they are completely different...

well cuadrado is a far better dribbler then valencia ever was imo. not as bullishly strong, but more agile and much closer control or danger on the ball. In my view, more offensively dynamic or creative as well.

so he's a better left winger but also a better right back?

Would definitely prefer Alexis or Angel, but if we can't get them, then surely Cuadrado will be the next best thing.

At £30m I'd say he's the next best option after Di Maria and Sanchez, but he could easily turn out to be a way better signing than either of them.

Januzaj one side and Cuadrado on the other

Am I the only person who felt that Valencia was arguably our best winger out of Valencia/Nani/Young last season? Nani the worst, surely. Would sooner offload a guy who seems to have lost his ability to impact a game entirely than a player who will play his heart out and can be used as an emergency right back to boot.

He might have been but it doesnt say much. He's so frustrating - strong, fast and you just want him to get after the full back like he used to. Instead he seems to lack the confidence he had and just plays it safe.
