Cuadrado

He would be brilliant signing. Just what we need. Him, a CB and CM and we are ready to go.

And he is one of the players that might be leaving this summer. I hope Cuardrado has at least more of a foottball brain Nani has and does not overdribble when a pass would be a much better option. The flair players are great to have, but they need to be consistent and intelligent with that trait.

Indeed. I'm no Serie A expert by any means, but I did watch a lot of Fiorentina & I can tell you that he's no brainless pace merchant. I'd say that, while he is just as mercurial & flair-based as Nani, he's a bit less infuriating with his decision making.

Nani is great at interplay and quick passing around the box, as he is better with a cross, but he does tend to stall on the ball and pick the wrong option when there is no movement in front of him - Cuadrado is more direct, incise & straight forward - a little bit of a young Giggs, for lack of a better comparison. You should check out a few YouTube vids (which aren't a great indicator of football brain, admittedly) of him that show his end product. He'd be a great fit for us I feel, whether he is necessary or not.

He is very entertaining, too - he really does bring you to the edge of your seat - extremely skillful & runs at players more than the current Nani.

Would be delighted with him. With Rafael's injuries and Valencia's dire form he'd be a huge improvement as a wing back or wide forward.

How do you satisfy Rafael, Cuadrado and Valencia?
You sell one of them.

I think Rafa and Valencia are fantastic in a 4-4-2, but neither are well rounded enough to be the only United presence on the right-flank of a 3-5-2.

Both work better with a man overlapping and neither has the creativity or crossing ability to make goals on their own from that side of the pitch.

Where exactly would Barca play him? He's a winger isn't he?

Valencia just signed a new contract and would you sell Rafael?

How bout Young, Lingaard? Not the best Wing back you could ask for but we do have backup option, CM&CB are priorities. That being said, as long aswe fix other position first, I wouldnt give two feck about another wide player.

It's a shame about Rafael because his form in 2012/13 was brilliant. He is just always injured so could be a back up to Cuadrado. Not sure about Valencia. Maybe we should just have 3 RWB's.

I think we've backed ourselves into a corner by renewing Valencia's contract. He's the man I'd sell, even though I still rate him more than most. I can see LvG being more frustrated by Rafael's lack of positional discipline though.

Cuadrado + Rafael is a younger and more versatile pairing imo, whether that be in a 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or 3-5-2.

Having said all that, I doubt Valencia is on huge money and he's not the type to kick up a fuss if he's not in the team. One of the 3 will probably ask to leave at the end of the season and LvG will sell whichever is the least committed. It's not an ideal solution, but we've had plenty of players sit out their contracts with us in the past.

...errr, but let's wait until we buy Cuadrado first.

Right you bastards, you've conviced me that Cuadrado would be a good signing, so if we don't get him and I end up dissapointed then I'm blaming everyone of you cnuts.

I suspect tying Valencia down was a financial decision as much as anything, and to give us depth given Nani is likely to go.

Rafael misses too many games with injury for me.

Has apparently just removed Fiorentina from his Twitter bio. Looks pretty much complete this one. Definitely adds quality to the team, though probably not in a priority position.

I love stuff like this. Can't get anything past these twitter junkies

How do you know he removed it? Was it there in the first place?

I'll be honest here have only seen him in the WC but while we are trying to get him, why are we not going all out and get Di Maria instead? I mean the figures that have been quoted as well (€40) just put the extra to get a proven player in. Again I know dick compared to LVG but everyone knows Di Maria is pure class and would fit in anywhere wherever LVG would play him. I know PSG/Monaco are probably favourites due to being more attractive to players in terms of location but LVG is going to be a huge draw for players and we are a massive club. It would be a no-brainer for me if I was a player!

According to Whoscored, he played 10 games on the left last season. If he can slot in at lwb with Shaw switching between cb and the leftside, it would give us loads of tactical options depending on the opposition. Shaw's technical ability would be a huge benefit in the backline if he ended up there.

I'm all for bringing flair players to Old Trafford, I won't pretend I've seen him more than in the World Cup but based on his appearances there he can dribble and will be exciting to watch.

He can play as a wing back in the 3-5-2 formation this season and after next summer when we get Reus and Strootman he can move to the wing in the 4-3-3 formation.

Help me out, would this fellow play left side wing back or right side for us?

Looks greedy, showboater and somewhat one footed based on my youtube scouting.

Still, we do lack a bit of pace..

Well we look to be targeting someone to replace Fellaini's awful hairstyle, this guy is a more than adequate replacement.

Probably rwb, but could really play in either wb slot, cm or cam. Probably the main reason we're interested in him (assuming we are). A lot of flair, pace and great technique. Would be a good signing imo even if there are other positions in more urgent need of signings.

He played more on the left than right last season and it was his best season. He has also played up front for 3 league games scoring twice, which is a role he could also play for us

Reported for lack of faith.
