Cristiano Ronaldo

This thread is full of idiotic WUMs and equally idiotic people swallowing them hook like and sinker. He'll get a bit of a cheer when he turns up, then we'll play a massive game of football. That's it. People (on both sides of the argument) need to get a grip.

Stop Ronaldo = The life-support of Madrid's attack is stopped.

I'm glad you're not in charge. Absurdly simplistic, we'd get mullered.

As much as I love Ronnie and he was great for us. I hope he has a fecking shocker in both legs.

When his name is read out before the match, applaud and that should be it. Once that whistle starts, I hope we only hear songs about our players and our team, not a man who plays for the opposition. I'd love to see Vidic clean him out in the first few minutes of the match, just to wind him up a bit.

After the match, regardless of the result, clap him as he walks off the pitch and perhaps a rendition of Viva Ronaldo.

That's how it should be.

I like Ronaldo. I want him to see crying even more than after Greece game. Also, as Spoony said I want to see him sent off in the first minute for diving. Or probably just to be sent off just for the sake of it.

No footballers have ever been as good as Ronaldo and Messi are right now. We should feel privileged that he has played for our club.

Now I know you're on the wind up. ;)

You almost had me there mate. Nice one.

 It was just as a bit of self deprecating humour, of course I want us to thrash them, or even better Ronaldo not being fit to play both games would be great as we'd have a better chance.

Ronaldo never gets injured

I don't know about you people but I will applaud him as he enter the pitch on the TV.

I hope you will be wearing a nice shirt and tie whilst you do so :smirk:

You better watch out
You better not cry
Better not pout
I'm telling you why
Cristiano is coming to town

Ronaldo hardly ever bottles it and usually comes up big for the occassion but maybe he will get a little sentimental and let this occasssion get to his head.

He was truley loved here, Fergie being a father figure, we made him the star he is etc.

I hope he plays shit and gets frustrated and hell.

He can be stopped.

Persie > Ronaldo = Rooney

Fixed. In big games they're pretty much equally prolific/dangerous.

Ronaldo has scored 36 in 56 v Barcelona, Atletíco, Inter, Bayern, Dortmund, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and City in the last 5 and a bit seasons.

In the last 3 and a bit seasons Rooney has scored 31 goals in 44 v Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Bayern, Milan and Barcelona. 16 in 18 in the last season and a half.

Van Persie has 17 in 19 v Milan, Dortmund, Barcelona, United, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and City.

From memory he always does good against former teams :nervous:
But then again I'm pretty sure he only played against sporting Lisbon from former teams.
When he comes though I hope he gets applauded for everything he did for us before he came, because we all know that boos only fire him up. During the game though everything will be forgotten.

Playing for United against Sporting Lisbon is completely different from playing for Real against United.

Agree though, hope he gets the recognition he deserves before the game. Once the whistle goes though, he's an opposition player.

Don't worry, ronaldos an expert at making it all about him.

pff, I wish.

I really think it. Marcelo is shit at defending, Valencia is much better than Ronaldo to help the defense. Hence I can't see how Marcelo/Coentrao can cope with both of Valencia and Rafael without a protection from Ronaldo.

Well, Essien could be the answer, but let's hope that Madrid won't go with ultra defensive tactics.

But Ronaldo will always have greater hair.
