I'm sorry but the penalties this season are getting out of hand, and many times to open the score.

Ronaldo has terminated Celta.

A goal. Another goal. Goals galore. And a slew of filthy snake tongued nobodies on the internet to whom every one of his goals felt like his zeushemian semen exploding onto their critter faces, forever pinched in grapesour expressions...

BAM BAM BAM.
Bizniz as usual for Ronaldo.

Sometimes I wonder if you're a danger to society Kevin... You do tickle me from time to time though

Wtf?

Glad to see that penalty given just on the basis that the defender is a moron for tugging at him like that. Dive or not, don't be fecking stupid enough to do that.

As for Ronaldo, not much to say, best player in the world and just destroying everything in front of him.

Don't know if it's the full list. Add today's hat trick against Celta with another penalty.

Nice dive for the 1st goal. One would think given how good he is he wouldn't need to do that but it's Ronaldo I suppose...

Would be interesting to see how many of those penalties were his (and Real's) first goal in those games.

Just noticed that he went straight to his assistant after his two last goals.. I thought he never acknowledged his team mates

Just read this

incoming!

Messi has scored '32' penalties in ELEVEN yrs. Ronaldo has scored '42' in FIVE yrs.

Behave. It is long since established that he doesn't celebrate others' goals. His own goals are fair deal.

Worse, I haven't seen Messi ever diving, but I don't watch Barcelona that often. He can get kicked, stabbed and he still runs (not the same can be said about his team mates, but whatever). Ronaldo on the other hand...

You should not irritate Messi fanbois with posts like that. They are precious bunch. Instead enjoy reading how many penalties Ronaldo has scored.

Seriously though, I think there was established a seperate thread for the whole Cristiano v Messi thing - so why are people coming in here with talk of Messi's numbers?
The vs thread was a good arrangement as every discussion in here will boil down to Ronaldo/Messi and we'll go around in circles yet again. You don't see me in the Messi thread calling him all sorts of stuff.

If this is an 'anti-Ronaldo' point (I can't tell for sure, don't usually venture into the utter swamp that is this thread), it would be stronger if it wasn't the case that Messi has started to miss a fair number of penalties over the last few years, particularly in big games. With that in mind, this reads a lot like a complement to Ronaldo.

There are 2 Ronaldo haters in top 5 posters in this thread. Tells you everything. I too don't post in Messi thread much because Messi fanbois ensure he gets discussed here.

Oh piss off. Messi dives as well as anybody else.

So what? 3 examples from all of the years he has played? And neither of them looked like a concrete dive. Soft penalties maybe, but in all of them there was a contact.

Ronaldo dives like the wind blew him

everyone knows thats a lie

Saying he doesn't dive is the biggest lie there is. Paint him as the saint and Ronaldo the sinner when in reality Messi will take advantage of poor refereeing and con them whenever he's not getting his own way, just like Ronaldo does.

And how many of those penalties has he won himself I wonder?

As far as I can tell he's won 12 penalties in La Liga, 1 was taken by Xabi Alonso (in his first season) and 2 were missed by himself. So of those 43 penalties he scored he won 9 himself. I only count a player being fouled by an opponent as winning a penalty (no handballs).

Also, @CLARiiON , Cristiano is 4th in the all-time penalty rankings of La Liga, with 43. Penev has 44, Koeman 45... Hugo Sánchez at #1 with 56. Messi is joint 7th, together with Villa on 32. Hugol needed 12 seasons, Penev 10... Koeman only 6 and Cristiano did it in 5 and a half seasons (still two behind Koeman though one suspects that won't be the case at the end of the season).

Because he wasn't the penalty taker

Actually, Messi had been taking penalties on a semi-regular basis since 2007... Before Cristiano joined RM in 09/10, Messi had taken 8 penalties in La Liga, scoring 7. So, since 09/10 the count is 43-25 in the former's favour.
