when did he score 50+ goals in a season for United ?
Your statement that he is the most talented player United has ever had is just wrong.

He might not have realised his entire talent here, but he didn't suddenly acquire loads of potential when he left.

This looks like the usual annual links to Ronaldo we have every year more than anything really. Calderon making statements like this means nothing, there are a lot of politics in the Madrid board and this just seems like it.

If it does happen tough, then I won't mind it at all. He is a top player, and will be very useful for the club, both on and off the pitch.

That is how I see it. This is not even the first time Calderon has said Ronaldo was going, and it always turns out he stays. Basically the stories of Ronaldo coming back started just months after he left the first time and he is not back yet. I will just remain skeptical and then if it does happen I can just join in the celebrations and not have to be disappointed when it turns out this is all just rumours.

It seems that Bale is once again copying and trying to become more like his hero Ronaldo.

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale says he still has a great affinity for former club Tottenham and has hinted that he could return to north London in the future.

The Wales international sealed a world-record €100 million move to the Spanish capital last summer and has already won the Champions League, Copa del Rey and Uefa Super Cup during his time with Los Blancos.

Although Bale’s decision to force a move to Madrid angered many Spurs fans, the 25-year-old hopes they understand his decision to leave and he admits he would welcome a return to a club where he spent six happy years.

“I’ll never forget the great European nights at White Hart Lane. They were amazing,” Bale told BT Sport.

“Tottenham will always have a place in my heart. I hope the fans still love me even though I’ve moved on.

“I love Spurs fans; you never know, I could come back one day.”

He added: “I hope they understand that obviously Real Madrid is a massive, massive club and that they respect my decision.

“From the moment Madrid put the offer in it was difficult. [Tottenham] was somewhere I felt so comfortable and so happy.”

Bale scored 15 goals for Madrid last season, notably netting in both the Copa del Rey and Champions League finals against Barcelona and Atletico, respectively.

Clearly LvG is confirming there's no chance, I mean if there were he would have told the press Ronnie is coming back next summer.

If Ronaldo come, we wont keep Falcao. Its that simple

Ronaldo will play until he is 40 if he wants to, and as someone who loves the game so much I don't see why he would stop. Would welcome him back with open arms.

Not really a Falcao fan either so it's a no contest for me.

Wash your mouth, that chant alone should make him your favourite player evaaaa

Erm no, it's really not that simple considering ones a striker and the other a wide player/forward. Falcao is only 28, one of the best strikers in recent years going into his prime, if he bags goals for us this season, then I can 99.9% guarantee, that Falcao will be signed up, regardless of whether Ronaldo rejoins or not.

Ronaldo--Falcao
Rooney
Di Maria---hererra
Strootman
Shaw--Rojo--Jones--Rafael
De Gea

Bench: Blind, Smalling, Mata, Januzaj, RVP, Lindegaard, Evans

Hell of a team and plenty of depth.

True, if falcao has a good season, we are signing him whether Ronaldo comes or not. Much rather get another cb and cm personally over Ronaldo.

Let's not forget Falcao is on loan so we'd have to buy Falcao first else he could join Ronaldo at Madrid. Hopefully Falcao shows his qualities and we sign him and if we did would we really try exchange him for Ronaldo? I don't know, but I think Falcao will generate healthy interest in the club and it's given us a new excitement. We just got to hope he can live up to his potential here.

Rather see it as 4-3-3, as can't see the diamond as long term thing, plus a proper commanding CB alongside Jones rather than Rojo, but tbf I am been picky!

I wonder if Ronaldo does come back will he have an Old Trafford presentation like he had at Madrid? If there's one player in the world who could fill out Old Trafford on a non-match day its Ronaldo. Big homecoming, would be just

Woeful defence, and since when was Rooney a better number 10 than Mata?

interesting Ronaldo's people seem to be putting out a few stories into the press this early!

Testing the water for some kind of wage that makes the already ridiculous ones look sensible. Perhaps 500k a week!
