I'm even not a Ronaldo fan. But the consistency with which he is scoring 50 + goals a season is unparalleled in European football history. And he is much more than just a goal poacher. He is certainly the most complete European forward ever. For instance, he is much more two-footed than van Basten and more pacy as well. He is a much better header of the ball and a much better goalscorer than both Cruyff and Best. He is a much better dribbler than Muller, etc.

It's not really unparalleled since we also have another freak scoring the same ridiculous amounts of goals each season.

Some leap

Are you guys sure that picture isn't photoshopped? If not, it's ridiculous!

If he doesn't win Ballon D'or this year, FIFA will make a fool of themselves. He's been outstanding all season and contributes not only with goals but also has quite a few assists.

In the 12/13 year he played 68 games and scored/assisted 76 goals.

So far in 13/14, he has played 30 games, and scored/assisted 46 goals.

In his last 98 games, he has scored/assisted 122 goals.

Mental!

Is it wrong that I really like the fecker, as in, he's probably my favourite footballer? I know he's a dick, an arrogant, unsporting one to boot, but I can't help myself, I think the wanker is great, I actually love the arrogance.

I hate Real but usually I want them to win cause he's playing. feck sake.

 Absolutely mental. Laughably good.

I think a lot of people feel that way. Is he that arrogant and a dick though? Most people speak very highly of him as a person, and there's a difference between being sure of oneself and being arrogant.

This. He always comes across as a pretty decent bloke in interviews etc. He's definitely cocky but I think he's earned the right to be, really.

Is there anyone with a record as consistent or mental as that over their last 100 games at a team like Madrid?

Interesting world cup ahead. I'd imagine this is Ronaldo and Messi's last attempt (whilst at their respective peaks) to win it.

Messi will be 30-31 at the next one so he has one more good left in him, I imagine he will be playing solely as a no.10 by then. It is hard for either to really make as big an impact at a world cup. Their teammates are not on their level and there are a few teams better than them. I mean Portugal struggled against the likes of Israel and Northern Ireland.

He's already peaked IMO....and won't be nearly as good at Russia 2018.

When they did that sports science programme on Ronaldo, there was a stat that from a standing jump without using his arms he jumped less than the average man, but when he jumped using his arms he jumped something like 160% of the average man's jump.

Amazingly, I don't find the second bit hard to believe - but I do find it hard to believe that he doesn't jump higher than the average man without using his arms.

Portugal always have problems with weaker teams but they perform better with stronger teams, the reason must be mental when they should know better.

With a one step run up he out jumped the average NBA power forward. To continue the comparison, Ronaldo is quite simply the footballing version of Lebron James. A rare combination of sheer talent and superior physique.
