I should laugh at you cnuts in here who abuse former players all the time but its pretty fecking pathetic. Can't wait to see the glowing tributes from the haters when Rooney leaves us.

Who cares it's something to waffle about during the internationals.

I think it's a simplistic view. Wealthy and successful people can also suffer from unhappiness. They also have goals and expectations. And Ronaldo doesn't seem the type to be happy being 2nd best.

Maybe it is a simplistic view and of course he can be unhappy but he is in a better position in life than 99.9 percent of people on the planet. I often complain about things but in reality you shouldn't feel sorry for me as I don't have a terminal illness, or have lost my family, or living in poverty or any of the other things millions of people have to deal with.

If he is unhappy then he can leave just like he left united and that is his prerogative. I wish I could have his life...

I agree with you, and I don't feel sorry for him. I just misinterpreted your idea as if implying that money and success should equal happiness.

Who did the boner belong too?

Just been doing a tour of the usual (media) suspects, none of whom know anything but who are all managing to fill pages/airtime with the story.

First of all, I love the lad dearly - have done since he showed up at OT with a bad pullover and spaghetti in his hair. However the only possible excuse for coming out with this kind of comment after a game is that he really is in a mess. Which I suppose is not impossible. He's not looked right all season, not just formwise, the press have even been worried about where the angry hyper player who screams and looks furious about every miss had gone.

Then just as his form improves, he hits the self destruct. Very weird indeed, and unforgivable at a club like Real Madrid unless they really do understand what's up.

Just to throw another bit of gossip fuel in the fire we get Arbeloa posting

as his Twitter avatar, together with the Malcolm X quote:
“If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”

WTF indeed.

Ronaldos being targeted, get him to Old trafford asap. They wanted Bebe anyway.

Something is going on that isn't contract relayed surely?

Bring him back here, I love the smug Potuguese cnut.

Might explain the kid having an un-named mother and all that fiasco way back when.

I thought it was more to avoid the whole Tiger Woods situation hence the reason he's seemingly not even been close to marriage. I kind of agree with it too. Atleast he's not trying to hide something which you can't really say about most professionals and their history of extra marital affairs.

Ronny is a self-entitled prick.

An incredible player and if there wasn't an Argentinian midget freak out there, he would easily be the best in the world.

He was amazing for too.

But think back to his performance against Barca in the CL Final. What a selfish display that was. Seriously watch it again. He literally shot the ball every time he got it or tried to beat 2 or 3 players.

Saying that, I'd love to have him back. With him in the side I always felt that we could beat any team at any time.

My guess is that it was actually Fergie's masterplan that didnt work. On his day though, we wouldnt bet against that plan.

Correct. He didn't get the support he needed from his team mates. Park, Anderson and Carrick were impotent in midfield. Tevez was benched. Rooney was wasted out wide. Strange to lambast the approach he used to drag us kicking and screaming (along with the defense, by the way) into the final.

Are any of you even seriously expecting him back here??
Even if Real agree to sell him and he decides to come back, he would cost much more than 80m, and we would never dream of spending more than even half that.
I don't think he is a good for morale at any club, tbh. He is a brilliant player, but too much of drama involved, and I am glad he will be too expensive for us.
A player like van Persie, who is not in the same league as Ronaldo, is a much better player to have in the club, no primadonna antics, just a good team player.

I wonder if it is financially feasible that we could do a deal with them if it were possible.

£80m plus a very hefty wage but he really does shift shirts etc. I mean they could even raise ticket prices 10% and say its to pay Ronnies wages and people would be happy to pay it on the whole.

Don't we get a set fee from Nike for shirts? How does it work in Spain?

I am very confident that if he does become available we could do a deal because I dont see him going anywhere else. He feels at home at OT, the players, the fans love him and I think the Glazers would use this opportunity to show the fans they mean business. Ronaldo would not choose another club over United.

Mourinho might be an arrogant bastard and a bad loser but he really isn't borderline retarded, which he would have to be to make that swap.

Getting 80-90m from an unhappy player is difficult. Ronaldo may refuse any offer apart from united which will drive the fee further down. Considering that rooney is at galactico level + have shown unhappiness in the past then a straight swap may be possible. We re talking of a club who allowed the likes of sneijder to leave on peanuts

Wow your in for a rude awakening my friend there are realistically 3 clubs who could afford him City Chelsea or PSG Russia excluded.

Rooney plus Nani and jobs a gudun, just kidding.

we have more chance of actually (literally selling ) madrid a virus than this happening

So basically the choice is to either go with United rivals or else play in Russia /France.

BTW I am not surprised if a Chinese/US team can afford him too.

Think in terms of FFP. Think we're the only club that could afford him and comply with the rules. How ever doubt we have £100 mil and £300k a week laying around

Most likely to do with the ending of the Beckham tax law. He's probably having to pay his share of tax and his wages have plummeted.

Ronaldo has always needed to feel loved. He's just not getting the love anymore from the fans. He needs a good hug and reassurance from Daddy Fergie....

Come to Papa Ronnie....here's a ball...there is the pitch....lets do this....

He would be out of our reach, you are looking at around £100m transfer fee, plus wages, image rights etc.
