Not sure about that. I think that specific red card was actually harsh, given how very slight the contact was, and the fact that it came after Gabi clattered him horribly.
But I agree, he deserved to get a red for something. It was coming all night. All top players have poor games sometimes, but few of them get away with showing so little effort and such a poor attitude at the same time.
Thought the red card was fair. Kicking out like that, even sneakily, has been a straight red for decades.
Definite red for me, it was a blatant kick towards the guys head - and he made contact.

His first season in Madrid he got two reds and 5 yellows, but he then steered clear of trouble for the next two seasons. This year he's picked up 9 yellows in La Liga and now a red in the Copa final.
