Jaysus, no way would he comeback. His ego doesn't need to. He won everything already here. He wants ballon D'or again, at the moment Spain is the league for that.

Has not gone well so far has it?

Only chance he will get Balon D'or is if he powers Madrid to CL glory.

I disagree. He won it with us, and I really did think that the worst mistake he could do was to try and compete with Messi at La Liga. He may score plenty of goals there, but Messi will always out score him over there. All people need to do is compare their statistics, and Messi will come out on top at Ballon d'Or. If he returns to the PL and racks up a stupendous amount of goals here, (even if it will be less than what he does at La Liga, it would still be impressive for the PL) he stands more of a chance of winning it.

Come on guys!!! We have all stated that the only thing more full of the brown stuff than a toilet after a takeaway, is indeed The Sun. As for the debate about Bale or Ronaldo, I would prefer Bale to come to Old Trafford. We thought Ronaldo loved us, he left to play for his childhood idols so, he has made his bed, and he can lie in it.

Under the same reasoning Bale chose Tottenham over us when we tried for him from Southampton. I would also prefer to have one of the 2 best players in the world lining up for us.

But Ronaldo is better. Does that not count for anything? You don't know what you're going to get with Bale. He might flop. It's more or less guaranteed that Ronaldo would deliver.

Again, Ronaldo is like a girlfriend who decided to go out with someone else, but then later on, knows that she made a mistake knowing that she had a better life before and now regrets leaving in the first place. So, at the end of the day, he has chosen his career path and we should just wish him all the very best, but we shouldn't look back at all. We lost the league last time because QPR bottled it, and we won the league this season, so, we have proved that we can win the league without him. If it isn't broken, it doesn't need fixing, correct??

But his ego will want to beat Messi in his own "back garden". It isn't a bad thing, it is how he drives himself mentally to be the best. What you say is what drives him, "messi will always outscore me, I'll prove them wrong". It is the way he is hard wired that's all.

I just don't think he is the type to go back, that's all. I'd love him here too, but I'm just more realistic.

Wrong, that's what cost Man City this season and led to them being so far off the pace.

Ronaldo is a once in a decade type of player, I don't mind breaking the bank having him back.

Regardless of Ronaldo being a clearly better player, the other fact is that Ronaldo is getting his goals continually whilst still playing as a left winger where whilst he might not track back as much as some, he still has to get back. Bale is getting his goals largely playing upfront where he is allowed to purely play to score from what I've seen. Ronaldo could slip back in the team with no need to take out Rooney/RVP to have the same impact as he does/did. Bale on the other hand might be considerably less productive if he had to actually play as a left winger most games, still probably one of the top wingers in the league but probably not so goal getting as he is now.

Still very unlikely that either will come, Bale's double poty awards will be extra bargaining chips for levy.

Do you think it would have been better if City had tried to keep hold of Mario Balotelli for example then? Do you think that they didn't address certain problems. His problems on field and off-field with City just made him into an easy target and made it easier for Mancini to get rid.

Your last sentence is slightly contradicting. You do remember that Bale actually turned us down in favour of another club, so you could also argue that he made his bed.

Ronaldo did love us, and still does, I'd take him back in a heartbeat if a realistic opportunity presented itself.

I'd go for Bale strange enough. He's younger and would cost less but Ronaldo is clearly the better player but does he fit in? In the past, we had to adjust our system

Give me Ronaldo, anyday, purely for sentimental reasons. The fact that he can play a bit of football is only a plus.

I would take neither for a CM, but I think the bit in bold may not be true. Read on here that SAF said Southampton said he wasn't for sale when we asked, but then sold him to Spurs without giving us a shot. Which is true? I don't know.

Be prepared for the possibility that Ronaldo (was he, in fact, named after Ronald Reagan, or is it some right-wing fantasy?) will come back to United this summer.

The logic of it all is actually pretty had to ignore.

Nah. People are letting their desire to see it happen cloud their judgment. It's really not that logical as predictions go.

Bale has the potential to maybe be as good as Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is Ronaldo.

How does keeping Balotelli equate to resigning one of the best players of all time?

This makes no sense at all. No team in their right mind would turn down Ronaldo, and luckily Fergie isn't so myopic so as to reduce the situation to bad date.

All we need now is an ambiguous post match interview with Ronaldo and the summer muppetfest is well and truly on.

I thought he left us to win trophies with Madrid? How many has he won since he left and how many have we won?
