Everyday, I promise not to come here, but end up handing my pecker to someone (read reply to someone's comment). Maybe I should consider getting threadbanned..
It's amazing how many of our fans get hung up on transfer fees.
Some on here probably own a United shirt customized with Jason from accountings printed on the back.
Getting Ronaldo back to United for 100m? It's alot of money but I think our fanbase deserves it.
It would be a huge statement, and would put us 2 steps forward in challenging for the title we are overdue.
Still, I'm very sceptical about this actually happening but boy I'd be all for it.
Then I'm still far from convinced that it's a worthwhile investment. I get excited and momentarily am persuaded, but then I realise this is not FootaballManager, its real life, and such an investment for a 32 1/2 year old is sheer lunacy.
He's probably the best finisher in the world at the minute, he would score 40+.He scored 42 from the wing nearly 10 years ago. He's still lethal but a completely different player now. The overall quality of the league has improved since he was last here too. If (big if) he comes back every team from 7-20 will be sticking two men on him.
Come on... The bolded bit is just ridiculously stupid. Not only is he one of the most known faces in the world, I have been watching Utd for over 27 years.
Because the economy was the same when he was 24.
It's like some people live under a rock or something
Yes.So people think we must pay 100mn plus for a 32yr old, who we sold for 80mn when he was 24.
He's gone, get over it.
He's not coming.
He's coming and so am I.
Why do people get carried away etc
Why don't people get carried away etc
Has he signed yet?
It's a trap.
This is exactly how Nazi Germany started.
He's 173 years old FFS
What can I say, people can express their desires in very different ways. Ask Girls around youif that's the case, boy has he picked the wrong method
Does death kill? No, it's usually death.
1. Rooney and Mourinho/Ronaldo have different agents.
2. It was 4 years ago Mourinho's Chelsea were after Rooney. It was 7 years ago Rooney flirted with City.
Really? IMO The league was comfortably better when he was here, especially defensively. The big 4 reached the latter stages of CL consistently. The overall quality of the league has improved since he was last here too.
£175m + £60m de Gea (conservative value) = £235m
Fukcing hilarious from the Mirror. If you're gonna make stuff up, at least make it somewhat believable!
I think almost everyone in here is operating under the assumption that Ronaldo doesn't actually want to leave and there are very slim margins of him actually re-joining us, this is just a nice one to get excited about due to sentimentality. Once he's finished having a strop, Madrid will pay his €15m fine and he'll stay.I saw this pic tweeted by @RedDevilsDaily –
Then, I made it my desktop wallpaper.
So now, every time I read about Cristiano's transfer in the papers, instead of becoming delusional, I sense a Deja Vu.
Then I say this to myself – "Gosh! These football players should start finding novel ways to make more money. It's getting more and more embarrassing now. Even politicians now-a-days are ashamed of using the same trick twice."
It helped me. Hopefully, it will help some others as well, from becoming bipolar with these CR7 transfer rumors.
Yup. Of course, of course. I too had made up many theories and fantasies over the weekend, by speculating his return to OT based on some silly rumors over the past 4 months, just for fun.I think almost everyone in here is operating under the assumption that Ronaldo doesn't actually want to leave and there are very slim margins of him actually re-joining us, this is just a nice one to get excited about due to sentimentality. You might want to raise the bar a bit. Everybody except you would take Ronaldo for 65 mil.Irrespective on how good he is, spending more then 60m on a 32 year old is crazy
Over the last few years the club has signed fantastic sponsorship deals they know what it takes to make the club successful financially (United is the most valued club worldwide) i really can't see them paying a stupid fee for a 32 year old.
Yes.
This is my biggest annoyance. Citing what we sold him for in 09 is pointless as the market has drastically changed.

I'm not saying it will happen but there are major holes in your arguments.This.
There is a better chance of Manchester getting Aubameyeng AND Dembele. It ain't going to happen.
There are
1. Too many legal question marks
2. Too big a rift between José and Ronaldo
3. Too big a rift between Real Madrid and Manchester United
4. Too big a gap between the quality of footballers on Real Madrid and those on Manchester United.
5. The Premier League would be physically tougher than the Spanish league on a week by week basis (I'm not doubting he would tear it up in the premier league)
This, again, is just EVERYONE deciding to ride the MUFC popularity coattails by bringing up ridiculous scenarios that will garner the most twitter gossip or sell the most newspaper rags.
"Hey, MUFC is the most popular football club in the world... let's include them in everything we type up"
The club doesn't have the time for this. They've still only signed a player that may only end up being a backup to a Rojo/Bailly partnership. Whose our starting forward? Are we getting Perisic? Whose Carrick's long term holding mid replacement?
I hate the media.
this is on Sky Sports ( who of late are just the Mail by another name)
I would be pissed off if this happened.
- Manchester United are set to go all out to land Cristiano Ronaldo in a staggering £175m deal - plus David de Gea.
