Aging Ronaldo is the current Ballon D'Or winner and will win it again this year.

I have a feeling even if we get a chance to sign Messi some will complain about him not suited for us.
People moan about everything, we could win every single game next season and you'll have people complaining that we concede too many goals at home or didn't score enough.

Last year or the year before he was crying because he didn't feel backed enough for the Balon d'or. This year he's crying because of the big bad spanish government fining him? You know what? Pay your fecking taxes or be mad at Mendes then you tit. I bet next year he'll cry because the stadium still isn't named after him...

Don't get me wrong, he's a fantastic player but I think we should call his bluff here and start a bidding war to sell him to the highest bidder. I'm getting fed up with his yearly hissy fits, the massive drama queen.

+1

Ronaldo won't leave Real

Spin control to deflect from the most significant tax fraud case from a footballer in Spain even after settling out of court for similar offenses years ago. Capital papers also only showing the payer in Portugal's shirt as well, PR working overtime

We said the same thing in 2009 and now look at us :(

One day Real Madrid will be finished with contract bs from Ronaldo and then it's no way back. Might be this summer. He is 32 and Real Madrid might want new blood.

You think Madrid, who pride themselves on buying the best players (Galacticos), would sell the biggest Galactico of them all?
Are you aware of just how good Ronaldo is? Best player in the World, who is the talisman of the best team in the World!
Ronaldo is going nowhere. Any other team is a huge step-down.

regardless if he came here id like to see footballers like this finally put in their place. The end of season run he had inflated his price and is the best time you could sell him at 32 years old

I am very well aware of his talent.

Didn't you win a league without Ronaldo? It was mainly Sir Alex that made the difference for you guys, not Ronaldo.

We've won two leagues without Ronaldo since he left.

I have to agree. I don't support PSG but I have had the same feeling regarding Verratti, the worst part is that when a club actually come for them they start saying that they love the club they are playing for and have no reason to leave.

At some point they will make a decision when they can cash in before the diminishing returns. I doubt sentimentality will enter the equation when hundreds of millions are at stake
Agreed, we would be stupid if we got into a Rooney situation with him, which I have started to fear last season. He might just be making things easy for us at the correct time. In a year or two it might be too late to catch a world record fee for him.

It's cringeworthy. If he stays he will complain some months into the season that he don't have enough backing and love from the supporters. It's behaviour like this that don't make him universally loved. He is one of the best footballers of all time, but the drama and crying is never ending. That being said I would take him back with open arms.

I remember an interview from 2007 where he got a question if he was diving. He answered: "I don't understand.. against Cristiano every time it's polemic".

It's not that difficult to understand, and it has been like that ever since.

It's like a game of roulette. Do Madrid cash in for a guaranteed 150mill or whatever or do they let it ride one more spin...

Holy shiit! 37 pages in little over 24h!

More than 37 pages of irreversible posts over an irreversible sale and irreversibly published press articles about an irreversible decision.. which will soon be reversed by way of an irreversible "snub".

:wenger: Mind blown :wenger:

The end is nigh folks.

They will sell to a club in China or PSG... and then get Messi with that money... that's one big Galactico

Right.

But it would hardly be the 1 billion buy out clause. If it were true he wanted out surely he'd only go for about 100 million in todays market, which considering what a successful buy he's been for them getting 100 mil would still be incredible business for them.

I fully expect him to finish his career there. Why would he leave, 14 mil is nothing to him ffs.
Real want 90m for a benchwarmer.

That would never happen. Real aren't selling their best player for such a small amount.

Fek load of money has the power of reversing the irreversible.

You can finally get Hazard. I'm sure he will guide you to three CL in a row

It just won't happen sorry.

The preening peacock is just flexing his muscles again.

He is 100% a Madrid player again next season.

A downer side effect of this laughably unlikely return is the sense of anti climax that will now surround every summer signing who isn't Ronaldo.

*angrily waves white hanky*

 pañuelos. While i believe no player is bigger than the club, i hope he leaves and i'm looking forward to seeing Real Madrid start a new chapter in their team. They still have an incredible team and will spend a decent ammount to replace him. I never wanted him at Real tbf. The way they treat their players, i still remember what they did to Figo. I just hope he doesn't end up at PSG. Come back to United, where you are appreciated by the majority of fans and not booed.

He has 4yrs left on the contract, isn't it?

Nobody could actually afford him! which puts Ronnie in a tricky spot...if he is pissed off with the Spanish government for taking his money, I doubt he will take a paycut to kick a ball elsewhere.

For footballing reasons I'd like to see him in a different league, winning back to back CL means he has nothing else to prove to the Spanish fans. But we all know this is just a hissy fit to make Real pay his tax bill.

We could afford him easily.
