Well you're a Ronaldo fan so I'm not expecting you to say anything else, but as I say FourFourTwo footy magazine had Cruyff ahead of him only 2 years ago, so although everyone's entitled to their opinion and some will say Ronaldo, I think its fair to say there's a conversation for it.
That's what I've said - they wasted a year going for Sarri because he won't do anything special with Juventus.

Sarri makes Allegri look like an attacking coach.
I never liked sarri personally. Gets a lot of hype off of that season at napoli.
Sarri is overrated. I'm sure if Zidane ends up leaving Madrid they'll scrap this Sarri idea and will hire Zidane in summer.
He is still playing too. When he is done and people can take a moment and look back at what he did it wont be much of a convo.
That would be another wasted season as i dont think much of Zidane either.
Sportstars are living longer these days, only have to look at Mens tennis (and even Serena in the womens) to find proof of this. Even Tour de France winners are more frequently in their 30s (when that was previously considered unheard of), NFL quarterbacks playing well into the 40s, Ronnie O'Sullivan outlasting Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry, Lebron James at 35 showing no signs of slowing down etc.
So I wouldn't put it past Neymar to play at 35+ in this era of sports science. Up to him though and needs to stop having a major injury every other season.
Zidane is a good manager overall as long as he's not requested to build a team. With the squad they have, I think he'll do well. His track record in CL will make him favorite too for Juve, me think.

I could see Juve MAYBE losing the league this year. Inter have been a superior team for most of the season so far.
Why wouldn't there be much of a conversation? Ronaldo's undoubtedly a monster goalscorer, only Messi, Pele, and Gerd Muller can stand up to him that regard.
But I don't rank Ronaldo's dribbling, passing or general creative play as good as players like Cruyff, Platini, Zidane, Ronaldinho etc.
I honestly feel Inter have been pushing way above their weight and at one point in the season they'll probably lose it and drop in form.
Which is why i still have Juve as the favorite solely on experience and knowing what it takes to be a champion.
That does not define who is a better player though. Ronaldo dribbling is also very underrated as he was a world class dribbler when he was younger.
Ronaldo is the better player than any of those guys. He has spent his career going head to head with Messi and both will probably go in the mount rushmore along with pele and maradona. They are that good and fans will only fully appreciate it when they are gone.
Has it not been said that he’s fond of the party scene as well? Not really compatible with performing at a world class level at 30++

Juve would have still found a way to only win this game 1-0. They always adjust their level to the standard of their opponents.
The pace and fluidity Portugal moved the ball around the pitch - particularly in the 1st half was superb irrespective of the level of the opposition. It was also a contrast to how Ronaldo's club side have played this season.
Ronaldo has performed at a higher level for longer and achieved more than Cruyff (as a player) in football despite competing with another generational player like Messi and losing out on honours he would've otherwise won if he was the standout alone.
I'd take him back for crazy money just for the enjoyment of watching him in a United shirt again.

I wouldn't compare NFL QB's playing into their late 30's or even early 40's. QB is more of a mental/intangibles position than most other top tier team sports. You don't really need to be fast, or quick, or agile. You need to have a quick mind, be able to read a defense, and have an arm that is good enough to get the ball where it needs to go. There have been QBs playing well on in years for a long time. Of course, when the body goes, the body goes, but if the QB can stay reasonably functional, wouldn't shock me at all to see a 50 year old QB at some point in the NFL in the next 20 years or so. Especially with TRT/GH/Hormone therapy, and how hard it can be to detect these things when they are illegal. I'd suggest though, you will pretty much NEVER see a 40 year old running back.

You have to wonder - Cristiano Ronaldo did purposefully tone his technical, creative and dribbling game back to become much more of a machine like player - something I felt that he did because of the premier league. Maybe not even because he wanted to; but because he had to.
He wasn't going to get 'Messi vs Getafe goals' like Lionel does every week for Barcelona with acres & acres of space in Spain whilst playing every week for United against the most physical teams in the world. He started to get efficient at the simple stuff whilst fine tuning the harder things on the pitch.
Now there are people who think the guy isn't a good dribbler and isn't very technical.
Ronaldo could humiliate people when he was young & you wonder how Ronaldo would have become if he had bypassed the United years, or even better - had spent time growing up in La liga first before coming to United in his prime.
I reckon then you would see a different Cristiano Ronaldo - a less of a machine, a player who is more technical and takes on his players - and more of a magician like the other players get called just for playing in La liga.
Either way I can't complain Cristiano Ronaldo is a Terminator, a machine & I hope Sarri gets sacked so the lad can snatch a last gasp CL in 3 different Leagues.

I laugh every time people talk about him as if he is a boosted Pipo Inzaghi who just knows how to score. He has always been supremely gifted technically but has changed his style of play by his third year in Madrid. I have never seen a GOAT player so massively underrated especially by rival fans.
Actually I prefer his 3rd to 5th year in Madrid the most. When he was scoring 50-60 goals every year, and at the same time with high level of all round performances.

And still his physical superiority or fitness does not translate into goals galore against defenders almost as big and fit as him or against defensive, passive teams sitting very deep. Messi should know one thing or two, having been battered recently in Turin and Rome without being able to do enough at home.
