Isn't Neymar a family man
Jesus...Portugal look like prime Barcelona tonight with the way they've moved the ball around so fluidly compared to how Juve have been playing with Ronaldo.
You have to wonder - Cristiano Ronaldo did purposefully tone his technical, creative and dribbling game back to become much more of a machine like player - something I felt that he did because of the premier league. Maybe not even because he wanted to; but because he had to.
He wasn't going to get 'Messi vs Getafe goals' like Lionel does every week for Barcelona with acres & acres of space in Spain whilst playing every week for United against the most physical teams in the world. He started to get efficient at the simple stuff whilst fine tuning the harder things on the pitch.
Now there are people who think the guy isn't a good dribbler and isn't very technical.
Ronaldo could humiliate people when he was young & you wonder how Ronaldo would have become if he had bypassed the United years, or even better - had spent time growing up in La liga first before coming to United in his prime.
I reckon then you would see a different Cristiano Ronaldo - a less of a machine, a player who is more technical and takes on his players - and more of a magician like the other players get called just for playing in La liga.
Either way I can't complain Cristiano Ronaldo is a Terminator, a machine & I hope Sarri gets sacked so the lad can snatch a last gasp CL in 3 different Leagues.
As I was sayingHe'll score two hat tricks vs Luxembourg and Lithuania and all will be fine again.

Ronaldo has more goals in 2 games vs Lithuania this season than he has for Juve in 3-4 months.
That's a really interesting twist. Ronaldo fans for the past years told us that what makes him so exceptional is that he scores against the strongest teams in the most important games and now quality of opposition doesn't matter. Its doesn't matter, he is still currently the top scorer for both Juventus and Portugal this season. In fact, he has already scored 16 goals so far this season. Messi is on 9 goals so far by the way.
Worth noting that he has scored more goals for Portugal in his last 30 something games then he did in his first 100.Ronaldo is an awesome player but his success internationally is partially due to the weakness of the Euro's & World Cup qualifiers.
Ronaldo's finishing close to goal is probably the best the game has ever seen, we know this. Lewandowski though has been a better all round striker / player for the past 2 years and scored more goals in that time but doesn't get anywhere near the amount of applause, not a sniff of a Balon D'Or.
He still does. R16 last season rings bell. I expect more of the same when the knockouts begin, after all he is the best player in CL history. His record in the Knockouts is simply insane. He has double the goals in the knockouts then anyone else. That's a really interesting twist. Ronaldo fans for the past years told us that what makes him so exceptional is that he scores against the strongest teams in the most important games and now quality of opposition doesn't matter.

Alright. Why even post Ronaldo's and Messi's goals scored with zero further context then?It doesn't matter, because the season just started not long ago, long season ahead, pointless to draw any conclusion from just a few matches.
He is not scoring every game, but he still scored a good number of important goals for his team (16 goals in 19 games, with over half of them are decisive goals), and his teams (both Juventus and Portugal) are doing well so far, that's all it matters, at least for now.
Messi has a goal every 93 miinutes and Ronaldo has a goal every 203 minutes this season according to http://messivsronaldo.net/ - that's well over twice as productive
Of course you're adding Ronaldo's international goals but while he's clocking up hattricks vs. Lithuana, Messi will be playing Brazil tonight.
Ronaldo's international record looks great on first glance but when you see that nearly a third of his goals have come in European qualifying games against Lithuana, Andorra, Latvia, Armenia, Faroe Islands and Luxembourg it's a bit unfair to compare it with players from SA. You only have to see Lukaku and Kane's international record to see that Europeans have games against much easier opposition internationally.

More like deliberatly leaving out information, because they don't fit your agenda. Disgusting intellectual dishonesty.Simply stating the facts. Relax.
Well more like you don't even get to the context before quoting. Look my previous post was direct to someone who is a known Messi fan/Ronaldo hater here, he came to Ronaldo thread, trying to be a wum and downplay Ronaldo after he has just scored a hattrick, and this is the sort of response he would have expected. And you just happened to jump in out of nowhere.More like deliberatly leaving out information, because they don't fit your agenda. Disgusting intellectual dishonesty.
Its still early season, majority of Messi goals scored so far were against Celta Vigo (18th in La Liga), Levante (12th), Elba (15th) and Slavia Prague (Czech), not exactly top clubs in Europe. I am merely stating all the goals they scored this season so far in all competition (league, CL, International/Euro Qualifiers) . Anything you are not happy about?
No, simply stating the facts. Relax.

And still his physical superiority or fitness does not translate into goals galore against defenders almost as big and fit as him or against defensive, passive teams sitting very deep. Messi should know one thing or two, having been battered recently in Turin and Rome without being able to do enough at home.
Its doesn't matter, he is still currently the top scorer for both Juventus and Portugal this season. In fact, he has already scored 16 goals so far this season. Messi is on 9 goals so far by the way.
Yet the last SA team to win a WC was in 02. Not to mention the fact that the Euro is a tougher conception to win then the Copa.Messi has a goal every 93 miinutes and Ronaldo has a goal every 203 minutes this season according to http://messivsronaldo.net/ - that's well over twice as productive

the same Messi who destroyed Juventus a few seasons ago, best inter this season against those same defenders?
la liga has always been a better and more competitive league than serie A this decade. You already got told in the other thread how the “much harder to score in serie a” doesn’t really stand up considering how many players have scored tons of goals there.
Immobile has 14 goals already, a washed up Lukaku with 9.
says it all really
Messi has been better this year so far. Granted it is still early but I call it how I see it just as I did last season.messi missed two months of the season and nearly caught up to Ronaldo already in fairness

Ronaldo to most has been sub par this season yet he still has 16 goals which says a lot about his quality.
Personally I hope to see him and Messi for at least 4 more years. Will be sad when they are both gone.
Poor sod, do not start crying now uefalona & uefadrid are finished for good

Also either way saying that is pointless because it is known Messi is just not as good when he plays for Argentina compared to Barca and it is not for a lack of quality. If Ronaldo could do it with Postiga and Almeida and Raul Meireles then Messi should be able to do it with the likes of the Agueros and Di Maria’s of the world.
This constant attempt to devaluate anything Ronaldo does is disgusting. Messi has been blessed with the chance to compete for World cups thus the quality of players Argentina produce. Before Ronaldo Portugal had never won a major trophy. There international careers can not be compared as one is the clear winner.
For club level to each there own obviously.
To your point about the final though it’s worth noting Portugal should have been blown out the water. If Portugal play that final 10x they win it 1x luckily for us that game was that 1x because 99% of Portugal fans will tell you we should have lost.portugal without Ronaldo has fared much better than Argentina without Messi
compare the teams records in recent years without those guys and Portugal wins by a landslide
argentina in a final would never win without Messi the way Portugal won the euro
the fact that Ronaldo doesn’t even need to score in a national final and his team still rack up the wins says it all
and I do think Ronaldo has had the better international career

I am ok with it because I consider it the world coming full circle after we lost the 04 final to Greece where we were the far superior team not only in that game but in the tournament as a whole
Did he not get 30 goals last season and is on track to doing that again this season all at 34 years old? What do you think a prime Ronaldo would do?We were also told that Ronaldo is supposedly better because he can still make an impact and score 40 goals a season with Millwall in the PL. Yet, his struggle at Juve is blamed on their lack of quality and him not getting enough service
