feck Ronaldo. Hes not leaving Real and good luck to him. No matter how good he is he disrespected the club when he wanted out. Do people not remember the Sepp Blatter slavery incident. Get fecked Ronaldo, score as many goals as you want in that two horse race league.
As opposed to a one horse league like ours?

The same team has won the league for the past 5 seasons, have they? Only 1 team can win, that's obvious, but it doesn't mean others aren't in the running. Its a ridiculous assertion.
13/14 was the ONLY season where 3 teams could have realistically won it. All the other times have been a horse or a two horse race at best.

Just look at the odds at the beginning of the next season on Arse, City, Chelsea, United winning the PL, and then compare it to the La Liga odds of the 4 most likely teams to win that league.

He would be the perfect striker for us, but it's not going to happen..

we've had 3 separate winners in the last 3 years. and Arsenal are getting closer with signings like Ozil and Sanchez. not like RM and Barca sold those players to the 3rd or 4th best team in Spain.

I wonder how many teams have won la liga in recent years. Would be crazy if it were 3.

Nonsense. Check the odds, which are basically the right way to determinge this ; Atletico Madrid are 14-1 to win La Lig and Valencia and Sevilla have even worse odds. Arsenal and United are between 5-7 to win the Prem.

I'm too lazy to do the math, but off the top of my head, I'd have it like this:

Barca - 50%
Real Madrid - 40%
Atletico - 5%
Valencia + Sevilla - 4%
Everyone else - 1%

and the Prem would be more like:

Chelsea - 37%
Man City - 24%
Arsenal - 17%
Man United - 17%
Liverpool - 4%
Everyone else - 1%

Sounds like he just wants a wage increase tbh.

Though I wish it was different. Personally if we land ronaldo we are sorted for goals. He is perfect for us right now, we've upped our defence, everything is ticking in terms of possession but in the final third we lack quality. Imagine...

De Gea/Valdes

Shaw
Smalling
Rojo/Jones
Rafael (enter new RB here)

Carrick (enter new sensation here)
Herrera
Di Maria/Mata

Depay
Rooney
Ronaldo

Throwing Ronaldo in your squad bags you matchwinning goals. Hes far from past it.

Im dreaming, he aint coming back.

Has he not always said he does not want to operate through the middle because he thinks he gets more spance / opportunities coming in from the wing?
Personally I'd love to see him back with us (at the right price) and sort out the rest of the team / formation around him.
I wonder how Rafa would intend to use him at Real - he has always been fairly defensive in his set ups so perhaps the freedom he has enjoyed would disappear (though perhaps he is too important to the team and Rafa will be told just keep him happy)

Its not about him, but it would hinder any development from depay and januzaj unless they get converted.

He not going anywhere. It would be daft on the part of North Madrid and him to part ways. They've got the right player and he's at the right club.

These rags are just putting the FSW making Bale the main man rumor and his public backing of Ancelotti together and making it up.

This isn't a contract negotiation, at least not about a payrise. He got a new contract last year, his first contract change since 2009.

If Barca win the treble, Perez needs scapegoats and money for new toys. If Ronaldo is restless and they can get a lot of money then he's a good candidate for a move.

Just to put this into context with what Real Madrid fans think. When Marca did a survey of Madrid members, asking for their marks out of ten for the players, Ronaldo was in top place with 8. Bale was bottom of the class with 5. Selling Ronaldo is a risky move for Perez, who does care about popularity. Making Ronaldo sound like a player looking for a move would reduce the risk, if PSG do come up with an offer.

Perez's popularity would surely plummet if he sells Ronaldo, on top of sacking Ancelotti as well. There are no other players who can come to Madrid and knock in nearly 60 goals - in fact, he would be hard pressed to find two players to knock in a total of 60.

Other than Messi and maybe Suarez, do you think anyone else would?

Ronaldo to leave this summer, and forgo the opportunity to break the goal-scoring record? Really?

'Course I want him back.

It'd be a story, a sentimental story, sure – but who except cold hearted, or dull hearted, cnuts mind a good, sentimental story.

Plus, he's a half decent player. Good for a goal or two, I reckon.

So, yeah – sure. Buy him.

Have to get rid of someone, probably. But we probably need to anyway.

I'm all for this Ronaldo lark. Won't happen, of course. But if you're gonna engage in mindless muppetry, might as well go for the cream of the crop.

A very quick, physically strong striker with excellent passing skills as well as being one of the greatest goalscorer's on the planet. Who would say no?

Crazy people. 145 to be exact

IMO he will do another season at real then go to psg or mls .
Of course ronaldo is a great player (his goal record is phenomenal) but as you say Benitez won't bend over and let him bum him with his pants on like every other coach does .
Ronaldo will break the Madrid scoring record then he will be off into the sunset !

I don't get the appeal of playing for PSG in a feeder league.

I mean it's not bad, but excellent? Hell no.

I'd swap Di Maria for Ronaldo. Hell, I'd even throw in 20m. (not personally, of course.)

Yes. It doesn't really matter, as he's rarely had any sub appearances for Real Madrid.

I've never heard of Soccerbase. Whoscored, Squawka, etc. are more reliable. I got the stats from his Wikipedia page.
Still and all even at 300 games and 313 goals, he's untouchable. In the modern game, at the highest level to have scored more goals than games played is absolutely phenomenal. Don't think it will be matched for a while.

It's been done his rival so you never know. Like I've said before, at least in terms of goalscoring Neymar can hit a goal a game.

Neither do I but I can't see ronaldos ego letting him fade away in Spain becoming a shadow of his former self .
I think he's the type who likes being the main man and in the French league he could still dominate till his mid 30s and still get the money to go with it . (Beckham , ibra as a couple of examples ) although Beckhams salary was given to charity .
I'm not one of the members of the ronaldo "pining to come back" society as many are on the cafe as I think that ship as sailed . For all the good that he brings to a side (and there are many) there is also the side that stops good players blossoming . I'm sure Isco , bale and Rodriguez would all become much better players if they wasn't in ronaldos shadow as stupid as that sounds.
But it's almost impossible to dump a player that chips in with 50 plus goals a season .
