Separately, who the hell is running this shitshow campaign by Ronaldo? Liz Truss's PR team?

He'll want compensation though.

He wants to go but not at any price

Being a narcissist he has a victim mentality, and will 100% want compensation, in his eyes he's the one who was wronged.

Everyone at United is a bad person who has an agenda against him, he only wanted to help the team.

See, you say we don't have the full story, and then come out with all that, supposition and hearsay that happens to suit Ronaldo's cause... and it's all "clear", apparently. That's why no one in this thread can take your input seriously on this matter.
The fans have immediately condemned him for his comments on ETH and refuse to even entertain the possibility of a reasoning for that.

I’m saying the perspective that something caused him to single out one person when saying they comment. It was not picked out of a hat and their is a reason for that.

It has that ring to it, doesnt it  ?

Meanwhile, Leicester have a whole new training complex and the supposed biggest club in the world has changed some kitchen staff and 'invested' a few k in a couple of plasma TVs.

The TVs came with a SCART port and no HDMI, to work with legacy hardware at the club.

The Glazers: Do you know how many years of car boot sales it took to find these televisions?!

I get what your saying but the Portuguese tend to be very reactive and hot headed also prideful. I think his name was put through the mud last season and this whole season and he reached the point where he said feck this im saying my point.

He was always going to release this interview but the timing was very poor.

I wanted to say my two pence and I have done; honestly, I think you seem like a good guy but you're too one-eyed on this matter to have a real discussion. Have a good one!

Pointing that Ronaldo has never done this stunt before is weak excuse. He was never this bad as a footballer also and his ego and pride has never been this badly hurt. So using past behavior is just not valid. He has been refused by every single top club in CL and cant score to save his life at the moment. So his outburst was always coming considering the egoistic man child he always was.

Plus his betrayal comments are funny. This guy claimed he was a "slave" when he was refused transfer in 2008.

I agree to disagree but I appreciate the comment.

Cheers !

Not to mention Pep here but, Pep said whenever he signs a player he asks the clubs whats the player like to work with.

He questions to attitude of the player and the personality first. If they're a nightmare to work with he doesn't even consider it.

Ronaldo should be a lesson learned for United, doesn't matter who you are, if you are a grade A cnut, then don't sign them.

You need a good dressing room.

The people/execs who did not want him at the club last season are vindicated in their opinion. If EtH or unnamed others want him out of the club at the moment are also correct because the team is better without him.

So simple to understand.

their defence is upgrades ARE being made to the gym. He was moaning about this a year ago
But Ronaldo is saying United aren’t investing when we are. All of his points seem to be slightly out of date, Carrington as a whole has been renovated since he left, that’s just a matter of fact.
Also he left like 12 years ago, I’m sure training facilities aren’t updated In shorter periods than that? Madrids stadium renovation is pushed back yet again and their training City thing was opened in 2005 or so. Liverpool are still in their training ground, I know they’re moving soon but they didn’t need it to be successful under Klopp.
It seems mean spirited.

You have to remember also how often do players go back to their clubs after 12 years?

Carrington was state of the art, we're not training at the Cliff anymore.

Carrington really doesn't need major upgrades just a few additions, but I think that was also what the consultancy was for last year too.

None of the stuff he's done is justifiable, but a player of his profile will think he should be able to get away with it and be accommodated. Akin to Mbappe stopping his run when he wasn't passed the ball. Hugely unprofessional, but that's what you get with that profile of player. Essentially what Rio was saying in the podcast.

Rio's just scared to hurt his relationship, however one-sided, with Ronaldo. If Ronaldo was still a great player...he may have been accommodated for his behaviour but he's clearly not anymore. Everyone can see it but he who lacks any self awareness hasn't got a clue. His defenders are even more cringy than CR700001.

Before the interview is aired I bet all the questions by Morgan are loaded with anti Utd ones, why is this bad etc , I bet not 1 question will have a negative impact on Ronny?
So how the feck can that be journalism! OK it is Piers Morgan who's done it another has been.

Contrary to those saying this interview is going to cause friction and de-stabilise the club, I think his departure after this will bring the squad closer together. I think it makes ETHs job easier too, assuming we can get a half decent ST in the winter window.
I even think he is the only one who hasn’t moved on. The fans have, the manager don’t give a sh*t about him and the players seem to play much better when he is not here.

It’s very sad to see him completely deluded. It will be a relief to everyone to see him go.

Just realised that the interview was with the Gooners fan Piers the mouth Morgan.
That makes it even worse.
Let him bugger off to Arsenal.

Very fair. I just like spelling things out in full, isn't this the right thread for that? You know, what with Ronaldo stating United's operations are behind the times and the Glazers aren't great owners.

What's s that you are saying about the Glazers?

Laughable take especially when Messi publicly quit on his country.

Compared to a guy who just lost a child and who knows the state of health of his 3 month old who was in the hospital shortly after and the possible lack their off compassion from a new boss.
I've seen this from the more pro-Ronaldo posts, and am curious as to what you would expect United to do here. I'm a parent. My kid has been sick, and I've taken time off work. That's built into my contract.
My understanding is that Ronaldo's partner miscarried one twin, and the other clearly had complications that required care. While obviously a bad thing to happen, it's not exactly unheard of. I'd wager multiple premier league players will suffer similar things each season, just on the balance of statistics. A decent number of my friends and colleagues have gone through similar.

Ronaldo's employer gave him time off work, indeed, at least a month if my timing is correct. During this time we saw:
- Zippo from Ronaldo explaining to worldwide fans why he wasn't there
- United didn't put out public statements and granted him privacy
- Support from the new manager, saying he'd be 'integrated' upon return
- Follow-through from the manager, integrating him upon return
- Constant, clear attempts from Ronaldo's agent and friend to get him out of the club

Real-life comes for footballers as much as it comes for any of us. Now, Ronaldo will have had unlimited funds and access to the very best doctors, healthcare and private facilities on Earth, which should have comforted him. But real-life is hard. You or I would also be expected to continue our jobs, without that great healthcare. Our employers are not charities, and Ronaldo's experience is not unique.

He can either take it or enjoy spending the rest of the season putting out cones for the u23s. I really wish we'd stop pandering to this nobhead.

He won't put the cones out he will be ashamed that he has to go home and have to tell his son he's putting the cones out.

Very sad but also true, statistically there'll be other players like that. A footballer is in a unique position because you can hire help full time where most of us have to go through life without help.

It's hard to lose a child, and it must be very hard for him and Georgina the grieving process will last a very long time. But we need to also remember Ronaldo wanted to leave in the summer, I don't think he planned on coming back to United at all.

Ronaldo was hoping he got the transfer in the summer so he could do his "tell all interview" in September.

As if any selling club is going to say 'he's a total b*astard, everyone hates him and we can't wait to get shot of him'.

It's like asking what the neighbours are like when buying a house. 'They're a bunch of druggies that party every waking hour. It's why we're moving'.

Want to bet he won’t end up at a top club in the last-16 of the CL? I’m very sure he will.

So we would have never bought Cantona then?

So we would have never bought Cantona then?

I'm not sure both are related, Cantona didn't refuse to play or stink up the place.

He listened to SAF.

Ronaldo being a dick has been known since his Madrid days with Perez.

Yes and one has been at the tip top level of the sport for 18 years with not even a blemish on his character or with any proof that he would flat out lie while the other has been around for 5 years.

I wonder whose resume on self righteousness or truth holds more value
Whoa, Ronaldo has not a blemish on his character? I think he's the single best footballer I've ever seen play for us, but is that you Cristiano?

Google Ronaldo and Las Vegas. Or recall when he made our CL win about him and being a poor slave. Or recall waaaay back to a few weeks ago when he literally walked out of the stadium - for the second time this season - without the manager's permission.

You're confusing people saying Ronaldo is a consumate professional - ie he trains very well and is extremely focussed at being good at football - with a being a good character.

Such a shame it is ending so acrimoniously. But no player, even someone as great as Ronaldo is certainly not bigger than Manchester United.

Out of interest, what makes them better?
It's heavily dedicated to youth football. I'd say close to 3/4 of the complex is designed for ages from under 6 to under 21.
The pitches are designed to get the best out of each age group. They have classrooms dedicated to youth football with state of the art technology to help the kids develop on and off the pitch.

Their gym sh*ts all over Uniteds. The equipment is similar but the set up is very different. It's hard to explain but it feels more professional.
You can tell the entire complex cost alot of money. It really is incredible.

Even their 7k stadium is as impressive as any I've seen.
