0 workrate tonight. Cant see him on the pitch. Invisible for the whole game
That is embarrassing. The people who think Ronaldo is the problem have no clue at all.
We'd be out of the Champions League if it weren't for his goals saving us. Tell me how many goals have the rest of our attack scored? This post is embarrassing. The people who think Ronaldo isn't a problem have no clue at all.
Read the thread again. There's people blaming him for our poor season bevause this season he comes in and last season he wasn't here and we finished 2nd. That sums up their analysis.Apparently fans can only handle one problem at a time. So when someone says Ronaldo is a problem, he become the ONLY problem. If he is not there it means the team is perfect with no problems.
Well those are just coming from haters/troll with their daily wuming, nothing to be serious of. Besides Ronaldo isn’t the only changes we’ve made this season anyway, there is also Sancho, who has performed far worst this season so far, and Varane. And of course we also loss James.Read the thread again. There's people blaming him for our poor season bevause this season he comes in and last season he wasn't here and we finished 2nd. Clearly this. Ronaldo doesn't use his muscles.A slight muscle injury don't keep Ronaldo out. Think there is more to it than this. I am expecting to hear more about this in next few days. We were not any better last night. We need a couple of midfielders ASAP.

Tbh I want Ronaldo dropped in the league. In the UCL he deserves to start based on his performances. However, in the league his performances don't match. Idk if that's to do with him not suiting epl defences at his age or maybe his struggle physically to keep up with the pace or maybe he just tries more in the UCL. idk.How many of you “United” fans were hoping for Villa to win for you to prove your point. This thread showed who are the true United fans, which is quite entertaining.

Probably for our benefit if he feels that way.If I was Ronaldo I would want to leave too. He deserves better than low scoring games agaist cannon fodder. Either way, stay or go, I wish him well
Agreed. That's probably the best for both sides imo.Probably for our benefit if he feels that way.
I'm not so sure about Ralph himself. He has joined as an interim manager and we should really judge him based on what he can get out of the team. I feel we should not waste an opportunity to hire a top manager/ potentially top class manager due to Rangnick who is here mainly to steady the ship and provide some overarching guidance rather than being the man to lead the first team to the top.Agreed. That's probably the best for both sides imo.
I'm very happy that Ralf was able to drop him. He simply doesn't deserve to start after his horrendous performances. It shows the board is backing Ralf. There's still hope for this season and United's future if so.
There was a good post about Ralf below and I fully agree with that. If we only wanted someone to get the best out of this squad till summer we'd probably hire Conte or someone similar I think. Or simply give it to Carrick until summer.I'm not so sure about Ralph himself. He has joined as an interim manager and we should really judge him based on what he can get out of the team. On Ronaldo, he has of course scored goals and based on that you could say that he has out performed other attackers but he's also a destabilizing force as he needs everything to be built around him and his general level (goals aside) is simply too poor for that to happen. Unless of course we have low ambitions in which case we can keep catering to him as our God out of some romantic sensation.
Imo we should judge Ralf primarily based on the state of our club end of next summer not the results atm. I don't mind the resuts at all as long as we don't get relegated if he can sort this squad out, get rid of the primadonas, the ones who can't or refuse to adapt and help us to build a young, hungry, hard working squad capable of playing the modern football. Benching Ronaldo is one of the first steps imo.Ralf was not hired to help us compete for trophies. He was hired to start the ball rolling of finally modernising Manchester United and phase out the SAF shaped hole that we’ve tried to fill for far, far too long. I don’t recall anyone saying that we were going to win Champions League and Premier League with Ralf, people were more excited as we were finally getting our act together and behaving like a modern club.
His interim manager remit is to basically assess what we have to work with to get us back to the top, like which players need to be fecked off, which players we should keep, which players we can possibly get a tune out of etc. Getting Champions League qualification is a bonus for him in my opinion.
We hired him for what’s happening after this 6 month period really. Thats been Ralfs focus for the past 10 years with the Red Bull project with him mainly being a technical director and once in a while will jump down and be head coach.
If United is a restaurant, then Ralf is primarily the Executive Chef and not the Head Chef.
Spot on. This is the Caf in a nutshell. People take what you say to a ridiculous extreme. Like they expect one to write complete essays about all the list of problems before mentioning Ronaldo or any other player.Apparently fans can only handle one problem at a time. So when someone says Ronaldo is a problem, he become the ONLY problem. If he is not there it means the team is perfect with no problems.

However, if he does start against Villa on the weekend I won't want us to lose just to prove my point. We need every single point we can get atm.
Ha ha. Let's see how this pans out then.Clearly this. Ronaldo doesn't use his muscles.

Yeah we drew.Everton with Cavani upfront vs Ronaldo upfront was eye opening.
Another fact would be we went out of at the group stage of the CL last year and qualified top this yearThe only facts are that we were second last year and stand at 7th now, having regressed with him. You can engage in all the conjecture you want, but these are the only facts.
We would be lower than 7th if he wasn't at the club. Why would the number of goals that others have scored while playing with Ronaldo matter when the entire attack works to feed him the ball?

At least we have some kind of fear factor when his name is on the team line up. Cant see what other player any team would be worried about,
Yes but I believe the idea is to get rid of that messiness as opposed to thriving in it while Ronaldo gets a decent goal output. This whole defence that "we were shit before he came" doesn't make any sense unless our signings are actually not aimed at hugely improving us.Eh, our games without him on the pitch have been equally messy so.
What exactly are you basing this on?We would be lower than 7th if he wasn't at the club.
All well and good suggesting we've regressed because of our league position but as @Ixion quite rightly put last season we out of the Champions League we went out in the group stage and this year we finished top.
We have played better than that with him. I can just imagine people who share your opinion being happy about those few minutes, feeling all self self congratulatory over what was still sub-par football. What exactly are you basing this on?
19 performances against the same opponents as last season in the PL is in my opinion a better indicator than 6 matches against 3 totally different opponents (Leipzig and PSG was better than both Villareal and Atalanta in my book (and in UEFA rankings).
Our all over performances has been a lot worse so far this season compared to last season. How it would have been without Ronaldo is impossible to know.
Could we have been better without him? We was last season.
Could we have been worse? Could we really?
We were horrible on monday, for sure, but in the two periods we were good in the first half, why was that? Villa couldn't hold on to the ball for 5 seconds at the time in those two periods.
Could we have played like that with Ronaldo?
We would be lower than 7th if he wasn't at the club.

Stop it mate, it's not healthy. You should be hoping Ronaldo gets on a good run of form for the sake of the team you support, and not that he doesn't so you can prove a point on the internet.
