Cricket

I can’t remember an Australia test being rain affected this way. Or it ever raining in a test match actually.
I can think of the first test of India's tour in 2003 that was quite rain affected. Ganguly scored 140 odd to set the tone for the series for India. Then Adelaide happened.

Aussies take the moral series lead 2-1.

A good comeback after losing the Ashes.

Rain forecast again for Brisbane. We will be lucky to get a result here. Frustrating for Australia given that they have been fairly dominant. I mean, who could have foreseen rain in Brisbane at this time of year? ;)

as I was saying, Australia getting very lucky with the rain here

250 definitely gives India a sniff though, with 59 overs left apparently.

Agree but I imagine aus would be batting very differently if that was the case.
I think yes and no. I think Aussies would still be pushing for a result given they have been in the ascendency since day 1. The pitch is also doing something so Aussies will be encouraged albeit Cummins and Starc might be tired given they bowled a lot yesterday.

India should put their ego aside and play for the draw here.

now it gets interesting for WTC. SL will certainly win atleast one test against AUS. That means AUS has to win last two matches of this series and win one against SL.
Essentially 3 out of 4, which will be a huge ask.

What do India need to do to qualify?

win remaining 2. havent looked at what happens if this series is drawn.
Edit: my guess is if we draw this series, that also probably means AUS has to draw the series in SL

What makes you say SL will certainly win at least one test? I thought their current form was fairly grim?

The series is in SL. They are not easy to beat in SL. Given Aus's top order issues, hard to see SL losing the series 2-0.

Ashwin retires before Kohli or Rohit. We are a joke. Best test match winner we have had until Bumrah came along.. and still the best match winner in india. That NZ series has really affected him and Jadeja..

Probably right, they faltered, still going to say that Gambir is not going to add a lot and Rohit shouldn’t be captaining.

Don't understand the mid series retirement. Screams a bit "me me me".
