Cricket

Yea they posted a crazy score the other day - 210 from 20 overs is mad.
My boys.
Cricket is religion in my country. I was on the girls team when I was in high school. When cricket is on nobody works and not a soul has a problem with that or dares to interrupt. People are gathered at every street corner to watch. I miss that.

Very sad to hear of Heath Streak's passing. Always came across as a tough, determined, and courageous leader.

He was really up there with the best in the world with his swing bowling at a decent pace. Also a very decent lower order batsman.

R.I.P.

Interesting watching SA vs Aus in the 1st ODI. I have always heard Marnus Labuschagne's surname pronounced La-bus-shayne, however the South African commentators pronounce it La-bush-skag-ne. Since he was born in SA, just wonder how Marnus pronounces it. You learn something every day I guess.

There’s a video on YouTube of their social media team asking him the pronunciation and he says the right one is the latter.

Smashing innings from Gaikwad today! The Indian batsmen having some fun in this series so far.

I had the (mis)fortune to play against one of your guys mucho moons ago, fella named Colin Croft, Clive Lloyd is a hero at the other Old Trafford in Manchester

@Scarlett Dracarys - story you might like - a girl playing cricket with a football connection, this is the club I played at in the 70's and 80's, I knew the Dad slightly in those days but I knew his brother better as he was in charge of my savings account at the Abbey National Building Society

Uganda qualify for the T20 World Cup for the first time with Zimbabwe missing out.

England lose again, this time to WI

Curran seems to be really struggling in 50-over cricket.

Yeah his figures have been shocking. My uninformed opinion would be he's just not good enough to bowl well outside typical English conditions, except in T20s where he has a variety of deliveries to use. But ultimately, he's what, 78-80mph, doesn't get much bounce, if it's not swinging then he's in trouble surely.

He seems a determined character and his batting his will help his case for selection, but seems he needs to figure out how to be more effective pretty soon. Stokes' spot in the side is there for the taking if he can. But otherwise, given the amount of cricket thats played all year round, it might be worth considering only selecting him in certain conditions.

Also Buttler's poor form continues. He has been a match winner for years lower done the order, on current form it's like we're batting with only 10 men.

I remember him having a rant on twitter years ago because a few drunk guys were singing that Sam was better than him during a Blast game at Taunton. Seems he gets annoyed fairly easily!

Annoyed bad light ended the day, would have been great to see Rahul chase a century and then South Africa to bat a few overs

Two test matches!!

It's a travesty really. Fancy India to win both semi comfortably even after today - SA's batting is to fragile.

How come Dave Warner been retiring for like a year now..... is it actually finally his last game? What an absolute throwback character he's been though.

That's such a gorgeous delivery from Cummins to dismiss Babar Azam. Pure skill.

Yeah that delivery was a peach. Pakistan are going to throw away a good position here, probably end up 230 all out.

Only 12 balls in but I’m amazed it’s taken this long for Bedingham to get his test debut.
