Steyn Morkel Philander maybe better but didn’t play as long, and Philander didn’t contribute in Asia
I don’t actually watch that many games. Catch a lot of highlights though. Always have two weeks off for Christmas so this is the only Aussie test I can sort of follow (unless they go D/N in Perth).For sure. But as a bowling attack I will always prefer the one that has Warne in it.

Ifd you caveat it to avoid the West India attacks of the late 70s, early 80s probably. But as a bitter Englishman there failure to win a series over here puts them down a peg when you consider how dominant the Mcgrath, Gillespie and Lee trio was - but there was obviously an extra huge X factor with Warne.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but only one Australian player is under 30, and he is 29. It seems that cricketers have quite a long career span.

Suppose that’s the nature of cricket - especially test cricket. But I rate moreso for us anyway. We’re extremely fragile the moment any sort of expectations or pressure is on us.

I would if I was actually watching the game! All I know is that I read the pitch was lively & bouncy, which certainly won’t be the case in India.
Mental. Only 4 batsmen scored for India. 7 ducks.
