Reports of the Surrey v Middlesex game in the Championship having been suspended due to a metal tipped arrow landing on the outfield. Apparently fired from outside the ground - spectators asked to leave and players taken off the field. Rather worrying incident and could potentially have been much worse.

Shakib comes to play man
I fear he's going to have the misfortune of finishing his career before Bangladesh reach the top and thus will be largely forgotten but I think he's one of the best players in the world.

Kohli's now second all time in ODI 100s. In about half the games as Ponting (375 games vs 194).

Wow, St Kitts have just annihilated Barbados in the CPL. They hit 127 in 7 overs and Evin Lewis got 97 in 32 balls.

Pollard's a disgrace. St Kitts needed 1 run to win and he intentionally does a no ball to deny Lewis hitting a boundary and it would have been the 2nd quickest century in T20 history.

Pure scummy behaviour.

I've been reading about this and struggling on the motive? Other than being a complete to$$er? You've surely got to be a very bitter individual to contemplate something like that.

A guy from my town (Who happens to now be the captain of our state cricket team) gave 11 consecutive extras (basically all wides) to stop leave another guy stranded on 98 runs.
Thankfully He and the keeper (who allowed the ball to run to the boundary a couple of times) were both suspended for a few matches.

Why would somebody do that.. Be so petty.. Isn't there precedent to this though.. I remember Sehwag missed a hundred due to similar No ball by a sri lankan player and he was suspended..

He didn't even bother pretending like it was an accident

Pollard is a twat. Not a surprise.

If I was the umpire I'd call the players bluff! After a while don't call a couple and hope the batsman scores runs from it, then if the bowler gives you a puzzled look you've got him! This is extremely d1ckish behaviour and should get banned for it.

So the BCCI have sold the global broadcasting rights for the IPL to Star India for the next 5 years for $2.6 BILLION :eek:

Not that the BCCI was short of cash, but this is next level money. I reckon individual state boards are going to be richer than some cricketing nations...if not already

This is brilliant to watch. Chat shit get banged.

Excellent  One of the things I do love about it all is cricket commentary, they tend to be very funny/quick

So no Ashwin/Jadeja for Aussie ODI. I think the selectors are doing the right thing here. Chahal, Axar and Kuldeep are excellent for LOI(Kuldeep ofcourse will be a star in test too) meanwhile Ashwin can acclimatize for English conditions and play county.

Pakistan win the T20 series against the World XI. A decent series, Babar played well for us over the 3 games & the team spirit looks good.

Great to see some international cricket being played in Pakistan. Hopefully can get some more tours organised in the near future.

8 wins a row. Yet another Bilateral ODI series win. Really are setting the standards in cricket, are India.

16 wins from 21 games in 2017.

9 ODI wins in a row - started with the final ODI in WI and continued through 5-0 in SL and 3-0 so far vs Aus at home. This year: 2-1 vs Eng, Runners Up in Champions Trophy (lost to SL and Pak), 3-1 vs WI (1 No Result), 5-0 vs SL and 3-0 vs Aus. Kohli's 30th ODI win in 38 matches (joint 2nd fastest with Ponting) and 6th consecutive bilateral series win. India also rise to #1 in ODIs, 1 point ahead of SA. Not sure if they need to win both the remaining ODIs to keep the #1 ranking or if they can afford to lose one match. They're back to 2nd if they lose both matches though

Can't remember India being so dominant before. We were brilliant from 2009-2011, but this is the best I think I've seen India play.

I'd love for India to travel to England/South Africa for a bilateral series (ODI and tests). Just want to see how this team does in those conditions. Sadly I don't think there's anything scheduled in the near future.

January SA away, July England away.

Unless there’s a collapse, it looks like Pakistan & SL will play out a draw.

The sooner Pakistan play back in Pakistan the better. The pitches in UAE are fecking boring. Not even anything for spinners.
If Sri Lanka can make 400 on it then it's a dead pitch.

Pitch is dead & offers next to nothing for bowlers. Love Test cricket but if there is nothing for the bowlers to work with, it is so boring & pointless.

That said, SL have lost 3 wickets so are doing a good job of bottling it so far.

A beauty from Yasir to get Chandimal. A positive result might be on the cards.

Rohit is on his way to establishing himself as one of India's best ever ODI players.

Tests in Abu Dhabi are borefests for four days before kicking into life on day 5. Herath to run riot here imo.
