2017 Champions Trophy groups have been drawn.

India - Pakistan at Edgbaston :drool:

The groups are so predictable. Aus-Eng and Ind-Pak are always in the same group. Wish there could be a proper draw rather than just putting the same teams together over and over again.

Sums up the state of the gaame at the minute when the best side in the world shit their pants as soon as the ball swings, seams or spins.

How come the Windies didn't make the Champions Trophy? Are they ranked below Bangladesh now?
they were at the time of the cut off (still might be). Actually from what I remember, Bangladesh were pretty safe, it was Pakistan that were in the most danger of missing out other than the Windies.

Ah right, thanks! They probably are justified, but cricket rankings always feel so arbitrary to me.

It's not a deal of fun watching them play the top teams, there's an inevitability about how it will end. Such as today! 120/9 from 40.5 overs batting first in the ODI vs. India.

Don't see how removing their international status will help. We need to grow not shrink the game.

England's women making the sacking of Charlotte Edwards and forced retirement of Lydia Greeneway look like a good decision at the moment.

Pollard with a lovely catch. Windies will win this & go on to the final.

"I just feel that the comments are very personal and if Ravi Shastri feels that I am responsible for him not being the coach of India, he's living in a fool's world," Ganguly told TV reporters in Kolkata.

"I have an advice for him also, when the coach of India is selected and it's one of the most important jobs in cricket, he should be in front of the committee giving his presentation and not sit in Bangkok on holiday and make a presentation on camera especially when someone who is one of the greatest cricketers of India all time spoke for two hours nearly, Anil Kumble."

Shastri lool.
Ganguly should have responded in a language Shastri understands...that, "All the results were possible, it went down the wire and in the end cricket was the winner!" Also, as Shastri was in Bangkok, he could have said that "Shastri is a compulsive hooker." (Refer "Harbhajan is a compulsive hooker" quote of Sir Ravi).

WI do have some talented bowlers if a bit inconsistent. We've done well to be only 1 down so far. Good stuff from Dhawan to stick in there.

Going to be a tough series I think.

Kohli's test batting have improved magnificently ever since he has been appointed test captain.

Kohli:drool:

Also, while i like Ashwin as a batsman, him coming in at 6 just tells you how shite Saha is.

Great batting from Ashwin too. But I have to say, it's pretty average bowling.

Question. SA/Eng/Aus vs Asia & ROW - Who wins where?
