Adam Voges is now better than Bradman. He should retire now.

Needs one more innings to make it into Wisden/Cricinfo's lists. Australia should declare now and send him in when they need 1 to win in the 4th innings. He should announce his retirement in the MotM interview.

Needs 33 not out in the next innings and the 100 average dream is still alive!

This was his chance to write history. It was inevitable that he would get out the way he was slogging towards the end. Stupid boy. Should've exposed the no. 11 more to the strike.

Too bad he had to play in England. Think he averages 180 or something outside England.

India is ripping SL here. None of these SL bowlers are going to be good enough on most days. Is this their squad for t20 World Cup?

Doubt anyone's watching the PSL, but what a game between Lahore & Quetta!! Not sure how Lahore lost

Didn't catch the second innings but felt Lahore were a few runs short. Best surface of the tournament and boundaries were dragged in quite a few meters.

Hopefully Lahore get knocked out. A T20 side with Azhar Ali as captain deserve to lose every game.

Need a gif of that Aussie catch. Beautiful stuff.

Thanks for that, Samid. Beautiful fielding.

Baz

so how is this pitch different from a pitch that spins on day 1? I love tests like this, but the definition of a good pitch by the ICC is a joke

This pitch will even up during day 2 I reckon, like in the previous test. Problem with a couple of those Indian pitches was that they were turning sharp and had uneven bounce on day 1 and just became more and more difficult to play on during day 2-3. When 200 batting first is a winning score twice in three completed tests, then there is a problem I'm afraid.

And that's how you make a 50. Good lord.

 Insane. To play like this on that pitch...

And, considering it's his last test, the state of the pitch, and the state of the game, one of the best test centuries I've ever seen. Any more he adds now is a bonus, but good lord, this is one incredible innings.

This has been the most bizarre passage of cricket I've ever seen. Latham batting 70 minutes for 4 runs, Williamson grinding it out and playing textbook cricket before lunch (7 from 69), Baz walking in and smashing Marsh for 21 in his first over, Smith taking two brilliant catches, Marsh taking a stunner to remove Baz only to find out the bowler overstepped, Baz going from fifty to hundred in 20 balls, 110 runs in the first hour (!) after lunch, Baz and Corey playing like you would when going for a big lead declaration on day 4, Aussies placing a fielder behind the keeper which I've never seen before.

From 33/3 in 20 overs to 210/4 in 40. Just mental.

Damnit...

Still, bravo. What an innings.

Don't think the highlights do it justice, got away with a quite a few mishits and edges it seems but clearly in the context of the game it was a heck of knock.

True, so much so they put two fielders directly behind the keeper (I'm not up to scratch on my fielding terminology  Only remember the obvious ones), but still, you have to test your luck to come out ontop sometimes.

Yeah, it terms of style its one of the worst centuries I've ever seen. I think in the entire highlights reel of about 12 minutes he didn't play a single cricket shot.

That said, I don't think you can underestimate how good it was in terms of the pitch and match situation.

Sir Adam Voges is back averaging 100+, this time he finally fills the minimum innings criteria so he is officially GOAT. Baz is two years younger and he is retiring, take the hint man.

He fecked it up again.

Hazlewood: 'who the feck is the 3rd umpire?'

 That's a match fee deduction if there ever was one.

Oh by the way, the 3rd umpire is the same guy who cost NZ 200+ runs in the last match with the Voges howler. Aussies are sore losers. Pathetic from Smith as well.

Oh feck off with playing the racism card. The guy in question wasn't picked to play because his average domestically in all formats is below 30, not because he is black. If SA had five players of Rabada's calibre then trust me all of them would be playing regularly. This guy however is just shit.
If this results in more 'quota' or officially a quota in the XI, SA cricket will suffer. Won't be as bad as what Zimbabwe suffered because of Mugabe but SA's standards are lot higher. Even 1-2 player increase, not on merit, but because of quota are enough to push SA behind likes of India, Aus, Eng, NZ.

There were rumors that AB wanted to quit before the WC Semi Final match because he was pressurized to play Philander who had just came back from an injury in place of the Kyle Abbott who were playing well.
