Can someone explain what ODI rules changed? Why are we no longer seeing 400 runs in an innings in India?

  • No Batting Powerplay
  • No forced close catching fielders in the first 10
  • 5 fielders allowed outside the circle in the last 10

Australian cicket summer to start. Looking forward to it.

Khawaja's making his return at 3 wiht Smith dropping down. A very aesthetic player. Bit like Rohit.. lot of style but little substance. May be he'll do well.

Australia bat first vs NZ. Should be a intriguing series but can't really bother staying up for it. Hopefully it's 1-1 before the pink ball day/night decider, interesting to see how that goes!

Kane Williamson is fantastic. Love watching him bat.

Tendulkar's team includes former India opening batsman Virender Sehwag, former India skipper Sourav Ganguly, V V S Laxman, West Indian batting legend Brian Lara, Pakistani cricketer Moin Khan, former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene, Lankan bowling legend Muttiah Muralitharan and former Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath.
Warne's team includes Indian cricketer Ajit Agarkar, Pakistani fast bowling legend Wasim Akram, former Australian cricketers Matthew Hayden and Ricky Ponting, former South Africa cricketer Jonty Rhodes, former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara, Pakistani cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq and former Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds.

Going through those teams,Ajit Agarkar sticks out like a sore thumb!

This New Zealand pace attack is just dreadful. Obviously not helped by Southee being injured but regardless, just don't look threatening at all.

er what?

Southee is injured. Trent Boult's probably the best left arm seamer since Wasim Akram.

Anybody watching the All Stars T20 game? So many legends

David Warner must be the greatest third innings bully in cricket history.

Never seen someone ram home an advantage like he does.

Watching KP in the Ram Slam T20, eying his third century this week! Absolutely mental that this guy isn't considered for international cricket.

Australia keep on dominating. Also what the hell happened to Boult? Was expecting much bigger things. Looks a bang average bowler once the ball stops swinging, which his stats reflect I guess. Mostly only does well in England and NZ.

Only scored 68, the useless cnut.

Appalling average of 283.

Does he have issues with any of the current seniors in the team (Cook, Bell, two seamers) or was it solely the decision of the Director Dictator of Cricket?

Probably, no one knows really. He clearly has issues with Strauss, clearly had issues with Prior, and was critical of both Anderson and Broad in his book.

I don't think anyone cares what Bell thinks, but I doubt Strauss would exclude him from the squad unless there was strong support for that action from the dressing room.

It's a loss for cricket in general. Not many players with the ultimate X factor capable of doing what Warner did earlier today. KP being one of them.

Bell's actually such a weird case, he's got one of the best respected cricket brains in the country circuit but he's never been considered captaincy material - I think he was briefly vice-captain between Prior's retirement and Root's promotion - and doesn't seem to have any real presence in the dressing room.

I think Dobell's talked about how the England management don't like how he goes into his shell on international duty. They tried to coax him out of it and contribute, but have given up on him.

What's up with the Perth pitch? Is it getting more and more docile, or is it just great batting?

Luteru Ross Poutoa Lote becomes the first Kiwi to score double hundred vs Australia.

The problem with all of these ones is that because Taylor played it effortlessly he makes it look slower.

Compare it to, say, Starc's delivery against McCullum in the world cup which looks 10x quicker than that.

But yeah, I have serious doubts it was that quick.

6 centurions in the same game! Surely a record?

Are we seeing exceptional batting or ordinary bowling? I ask this without having seen the match, just knowing that it's happening in Perth.. Always thought the Perth pitch assisted the fast bowlers..

The pitch is a road. Absolutely nothing. WACA has been flat for ages now.
