In football if you get a concussion you're forced to sit out for at least a few days. Why is Gambhir batting? Surely its not worth the risk of him getting hit on the head.

depends if they deem Gambhir fit enough, which I doubt. Sending him out now would be a choice because he has been there and settled. However, having played for more than 5 hours, resting him would make sense . But who else would we open with. Laxman?
