Cricket:India's tour of England 2011

250 by Cook. I reckon they are just waiting for him to complete his triple century.

Going to be funny when Cook gets to 300 before the Indian team in this series.

This is like Barcelona, statistically very impressive but quite dull.

We're going to wait for Ali Cook before declaring, whether it be 300 or his wicket.

Did you just compare Alastair Cook to Barca???????????????????????????????????

For all the criticism the Bowlers have taken, it's the Batsmen who have really fecked this series up IMO.

Cook's 300 is holding them back. If they declare now, I can see 3 wickets falling today.. not that it'll make any difference to the result

Think Bresnan wants a ton, not giving Cook a look in!

Plenty of time left in the test with a decent forecast for the weekend.

No harm in batting the day out TBH.

Sreesanth sleding Cook who is on 270

Some people don't know when they're beaten

I hope they get him out on 299.. sick of seeing him on TV

He's been there whenever I've switched Star Cricket on for the past 8 months

He's a good looking man though, there are worse to look at.

Surely sticking India in will just result in them taking the light fairly quickly,

Keep humiliating them. 'Tis funny.

Just turned on the TV to see England are 681-6. Time to turn it off again

It's purely up to the umpires now, we got dragged off for light before when the floodlights weren't working when we didn't want to.

I think the Umpires can ask the Batsmen if they want to go off? Which if India got asked to do so would take it in an instant! Could be wrong though.

They changed the rules last year. The first time they go off for bad light, that light meter reading is used as the benchmark. If it reaches that over the course of the match at any time, they go off. Doesn't matter if a team needs 1 wicket to win or 1 run to win.

Shouldn't be slagging off the umpires, though. ICC rules..

What I don't understand is why the light meter level has to be maintained throughout the Test Match. Surely if one team has a bloke who bowls 100mph there's a greater danger than if the other team only has bowlers bowling at 75mph.

All rules can be over looked as the umpires are allowed to apply 'common sense'.

Which in this case would of been to stay out there with the game situation.

You don't even have to go that far. If the batsman reckons he can see the ball, I see no problem in going on
