Cricket:India's tour of England 2011

Clutching at straws? ;)

Nah, a draw wouldn't make me feel better, stopped caring awhile back. I just think it'll be a draw because 1) we're due 2) rain, light and all that jazz.

We have loads of talent. Recalling Dravid was a daft move to be honest. You're the world champions of that format. Yes, it's been an appalling performance all tour long and will probably leak over into the ODI's as well but why sacrifice a youngster who has obviously made it to the ODI team on merit and will be around for awhile?

Heck we have had loads of bowling talent in recent times too but they're managed awfully.

Basically BCCI do nothing if it's not a) for money reasons or b) a quick fix.

The next WC is 4 years away, I am not sure what idiot thought it'd be a good idea to have Dravid. Alright, he MIGHT help you fare a little bit better in this one-off bilateral series, but what use it in the longer term?

Not to mention that if Dravid's there, he'll bat 3. So, what happens to Gambhir? The guy who pretty much won us the WC final at 3 moves down? which means Kohli will go to 5 while he's been ridiculously good for 18 months at 3 or 4, pulling back all the good work he's done. Rohit's finally hitting his straps, so he comes in at 6(a complete waste of talent) -- so Raina drops out..

Consequently, this also means that our top 6 is Sachin, Sehwag, Dravid, Gambhir, Kohli, Rohit.. meaning that you're hoping to make up Yuvraj's 10 overs out of thin air.

I want to see some wickets go down, only way that will happen is if India bat - hope they Struass puts India in to bat after Tea.

Cmon Morgan start whacking a bit now after you get your 100 ..

Definitely one of the worst hundreds I've seen, but well done Morgan! Really think he's going to be a top class test player eventually.

I can't see the sense in changing the batting line up that played the world cup. They made us world champions and the balance was good. I'd hate to see a youngster sit out because of Dravid. In fact I'd rather see the likes of Kohli struggle. He's going to be a tremendous player and needs to start playing a big role in ALL formats.

Its funny seeing a player on a hundred still struggling as much as Morgan clearly is. Just as I say it nice shot!

I reckon we'll get bowled under 300 on this pitch.

Its not good that Raina has looked the most threatening bowler since last night.

Doubt it very much, he goes down to wickets size just as a ball is about to be bowled..

Yeah, don't know why he's started doing that. But if you've watched some of his innings in one day cricket they've been truly exceptional, best for a long time in an England shirt.

It seems none of you rate Bopara. So why is he in the team?

Shame, but the way the pitch is turning now can't see India getting anywhere near this.

And Taylor got a ton today for the Lions.

I still think England doesn't need a Bopara or a Morgan when Trott gets fit. This should be your lineup

Strauss
Cook
Trott
KP
Bell
Prior
Bresnan
Broad
Swann
Tremlett
Anderson

250 by Cook. I reckon they are just waiting for him to complete his triple century.

Flower prefers four bowlers, so that won't happen. If we get a proper all-rounder, then he could come in at 7. Having Prior in at 7 is such an advantage.

Broad has the potential to be a proper all-rounder for me. Bresnan too looks like an handy bat. Although scoring against India is hardly a great testament tbh.

When we've been bowling everyone out cheaply with four bowlers, why bother with five? Give the batting insurance, and that way it'll be very, very difficult to lose Test matches.

On flat pitches like sub-continent, I won't be surprised to see you going with this kind of team.

Mishra has already done more in this spell, then harbhajan did in the entire series.

Tea time. This is boring, just declare and bowl them out.
