Cricket:India's tour of England 2011

With Zaheer it looked good.

I swear I will delete redcafe somehow if someone replies to Mike's WUM again

The poster which I responded said England is gonna win the series 2-0. You guys are kidding yourself if you think that it's gonna be that.

You were right. Will probably be 4-0.

1.01pm England's session again. Especially with the wicket of Rahul Dravid, who has fought and fought this series. He came into the series with just one century in defeats. That number is on its way to three now. That should say how hopelessly alone he has been in resistance.

Cricinfo.

The Sachin stuff is a WUM, but Zaheer is genuinely just a decent international bowler, nothing to get too excited about.

I don't get the hyperbole of some of the Indian commentators on Sky - Dravid the 'great wall of India' modesty really is lost on some. It's like, anything semi-decent an Indian player does is the greatest thing the commentator has ever seen. It's borderline pathetic.

Who are the Indian commentators on sky? Other than Manjrekar

You see the same thing with Tendulkar. The way the Indians go on you'd swear he was Donald Bradman or something. The little ginger master showed him how it's done yesterday.

Ah yeah but Scholes is a genius isn't he?

I like the look on Laxman's face when he sometimes gets out. Utter bewilderment.

All down to tendulkar.

He averages 28 in 4th innings away from home, so not expecting much

Someone needs to start taking on these bowlers to just hit them out of their line and length, it's no good blocking everything, someone will edge it to slips anytime - the players that got most succes on this pitch were playing positive cricket.. someone needs to start doing that right now in this test or we might as well give up.

Tbf to them...Dravid does have 34 centuries, and over 12500 runs in test cricket.

While most Indian batsmen dominate on batting friendly pitches at home, and struggle away, Dravid is the opposite.

Averages 50 at home, and 54 away.

Not to mention, time and time again when the vaunted batting lineup collapses, its Dravid that usually stands up, like he has this series.

Mukund is the new Dravid. 3 from 40 balls :D

Ah he's gone. I hope we get to 100.

Dravid is an incredible player. India has never had a problem producing great batsmen but have a very poor record with bowlers. How many genuinely world class bowlers have they had in recent times?

Kumble was excellent of course but I can't think of many others at all.

India dead batting tracks just produce carthorse bowlers and front foot batsmen. Indian players only thrive in their placid conditions.
