Cricket:India's tour of England 2011

It is a shame everyone is talking about why there is no full DRS system in place as opposed to the game at the minute

This is the problem with hawkeye.. it shows the ball would've only barely clipped the stump, but does Praveen Kumar really get that much bounce? I know KP was a yard down the pitch but still.

I reckon if Arsenal was made into a fast bowler, it'd be Praveen Kumar. All pretty and swinging, but the batsmen could go out for a cup of tea and come back to play his deliveries.. not effective at all.

True. Reckon that would have hit the wicket a lot lower than hawk eye suggests. That was just out, plain and simple.

I find it odd you ranting about this when it wouldn't have been overturned by DRS!

Looked slightly more out than the farcical Cook decision mind.

Think that finger wagging is going to land him in trouble.

Cook was out in the first over, anyway.

UDRS wouldn't have overturned this, yes, but if he'd given it out and KP had referred it, it would've stayed out. So was it out or not out? Or just human judgment that decides that? As the latter is the case, I will stick with what my eyes tell me.

On two occasions, I've noticed that hawkeye shows the ball not hitting the stumps for wickets that were out bowled.

When they show the over trajectory and show all 6 balls, I've noticed twice that hawkeye shows the ball missing the stumps for a delivery which actually took a wicket out bowled.

So I wouldn't bet my house on what hawkeye tells me.

How was he out? The umpire didn't give it and neither would DRS.

Please explain this to me as I am baffled as to why the Indians here are saying "he was out anyway".

How would UDRS not have given it out? It was pitching in line and hitting below the bails. Not even marginal.

EDIT: Are you aware that they were 2 shouts for Cook? 1 given not out which was out and 1 given out which was not out?

KP is playing well

Rotating the strike, upsetting the bowlers' rhythms

Throw the ball to Yuvraj.. an over of left arm spin to Pietersen..

Are you talking about the shout in the 5th over?

It was given not out and would not have been overturned on referral.

Just got back home. How has Sreesanth bowled?

Why would it not have been overturned? Pitching in line, hitting the stumps = overturned.

It won't surprise me if Yuvi outbowls Harbhajan in this match.

Similar tale to Lords. England scraping and trying to nullify the early life in the pitch.

...

If more than half the ball hits the stumps on replay, it gets overturned. ICC rule.

Are you on about the same thing here?

The replay showed it pitched just on leg stump and would have hit the outside of off stump. And the 2.5 meter warning light was on.

It would never have been overturned in a million years and would have stuck with the on field shout.

Should've gone to Specsavers!

Whether it would have been given or not using udrs is irrelevant. It should have been given out by the on field umpire. As should the pieterson one. So much for 'a bit rich'.

Why is sreeasaanth being booed btw?

Claimed a 1 pitch catch off Ian Bell. I think he did it as a laugh. Bell's reaction was awesome, just leaned back and gave an amused smile.

India been bowling superbly. Very impressive.

Why is sreeasaanth being booed btw?

Just because he had the tenacity to throw the ball in the air when Bell's leading edge just fell short of him. His reputation precedes him actually. Oh and Morgan's out!

Sreesanth woke up on the right side of the bed today.. just been terrific.. would like to see him swing one back inside. Bell is leaving well
