It’s been postponed, has to put Brighton on Saturday in huge doubt as well.
Breaking:
Clubs are now fearing season is to be shutdown due to the high number of cases.
The Premier League Board has decided to postpone Brentford’s home fixture against Manchester United, due to be played on Tuesday, 14 December at 19.30 GMT.
The decision was taken following guidance from medical advisers due to the exceptional circumstances of an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak within Manchester United’s squad.
First-team operations at the club’s Carrington Training Complex were closed down today to help control the outbreak and minimise risk of further infection among players and staff.
The League wishes a quick recovery to those players and staff with COVID-19. The postponed fixture will be rearranged in due course.
With the health of players and staff the priority, and in light of the recent rise in COVID-19 cases across the country, the Premier League has reintroduced Emergency Measures.
These include protocols such as more frequent testing, wearing face coverings while indoors, observing social distancing and limiting treatment time.
At the moment this is bad for us but it’s quickly getting to the point where a winter break has to be considered this season and then it’s good for every club.

Get promoted quickI know it’s above my pay grade but it would be a perma ban for such posters if it were upto me.
Ban neededAnyone would think we were dealing with Ebola -which killed 40% of contacts and there was never any lockdown-or an outbreak of Rabies. It’s a (mild) dose of the flue for most people -the hysteria being generated by the media is nauseating. Either the vaccines work or they don’t, if they don’t then why the push for a 3rd - it’s totally illogical .
sorry to hear that man, hope they don't cancelI paid an arm and a leg to get to this Brighton game. I know this is small in the grand scheme of things, but I really hope that game goes ahead otherwise I would’ve flown to the UK for nothing. Hope its just a couple of players and that we should be all set for Saturday.
Hopefully it is playedHopefully the Brighton game is good.

I worked there for 16 years and he's right.Clearly, you have no clue about London.
Game on my birthday postponed
All a matter of perspective. Some people love Disneyland despite the crowds and prices, some people hate it.I’m a born and bred Londoner, from parents that were also born and bred. Went to school, college and worked in London my whole life. The reality doesn’t live up to the hype.
it’s more about protecting the NHS, and other countries health services, if your local hospital has 100 beds and 100 beds are taken up by covid patients then what happens to the person who comes in with excruciating pain that needs investigation and treatment.Anyone would think we were dealing with Ebola -which killed 40% of contacts and there was never any lockdown-or an outbreak of Rabies. On the bolded, spot on. I’ve tried to explain this a million times to anti vaxxers and the down right conspiracy theorists in my family and workplace but it doesn’t sink in.it’s more about protecting the NHS, and other countries health services, if your local hospital has 100 beds and 100 beds are taken up by covid patients then what happens to the person who comes in with excruciating pain that needs investigation and treatment.
With restrictions targeting mass events first, or places with large gatherings eg stopping the rush to work and home by making work from home encouraged etc it reduces infection rate.
Yes covid is a relatively mild illness for most, but a minority still die or get severe or long covid. The problem is when you have 50000-90000 plus daily infections 200 daily needing treatment is small minority that very quickly adds up.
I lived down there for a while after I left school, it's a shithole full of absolute dullards.I’m a born and bred Londoner, from parents that were also born and bred. Went to school, college and worked in London my whole life. The reality doesn’t live up to the hype.

I swear 75% of people I met thought anybody from north of Watford is either Mancunian or Geordie. The amount of times I was asked if I'd been to biker grove....
The only names I remember are PJ, Duncan and Spuggy.memories… amazing how far Ant and Dec have got, also the lady forgotten her name but used to have the biggest crush on her

Wouldn't work for the Covid cases. You're just delaying things. Best thing to do is to go back to Project Restart rules with as much social distancing and testing as possible for the next month or two.At the moment this is bad for us but it’s quickly getting to the point where a winter break has to be considered this season and then it’s good for every club.
I'm 80% sure it will go ahead. By the weekend both Brighton and Man Utd should have been able to social distance enough to stop spread and also figure out which players are actually positive to muster up enough for a game.I paid an arm and a leg to get to this Brighton game. Can't see how it will be when positive cases need a 10 day minimum isolation period. Both clubs have covid cases, and are almost certainly likely to add to these in the inbetween days.
Salford are playing Stevenage, worse case scenario and all. Probably get to meet Neville, Giggs and Scholes.I paid an arm and a leg to get to this Brighton game. Hop on a train to Manchester and go on the Museum and Stadium Tour.
