Conte | Spurs Manager

Not sure why you put out those meaningless stats as most fan even the delusional one would say that a champion league final, their league best finish and highest point tally, and consecutive season in champion league in much better than the ones you mentioned. That is why those managers you listed are no where to be seen.

Conte has a much better squad than his predecessor. Definitely has much better depth. The starting eleven Conte is a bit more stronger, but Conte has better talent to choose from the bench which with his predecessor, if one of their talent got injured, they had the likes of llorente, Edward's, winks, skipp, and other very average selection to choose from.
Lloris = lloris
Tripper > royal
Verthogen > Sanchez
Alderweireld = Romero
Rose < regullion
Sissoko < hodjberg
Dembele = bentacur
Son = son
Lucas = Lucas
Lamela < begwein
Kane = kane
This is the problem. You are always trying to put Pochettino in best light while you do opposite with other managers. Tottenham had a squad that was miles better with Poch than what they have now with Conte. It can’t even be compared.

For sure here the situation is strange because maybe I feel the 1% possibility to have the ambition to finish 4th because the situation is totally different. The level of this league is very high and there is not a lot of space for teams other than the top teams"

Inspiring words from Conte.

He only went there because of Paratici. Sounds like he knows that was a mistake mid-season.

Going through Poch, Jose and Conte without winning a trophy is just a Spurs thing to do.

Considering 2 of the above have won trophies everywhere they went

:lol:

Yep, and realised Levy wouldn't give him what he wants.

Spurs had the right manager in Poch, they should've kept him and trust him to rebuild.

Lloris has improved massively, thanks to being kept busy.
Biggest problem with Spurs is the back four imho.
Davies and Sanchez are the two weakest players in the side. I watched Sanchez continuously give the ball straight back to Southampton last week, even setting up the goal for Chay Adams.

Prime Danny Rose was better than Reguilon, prime Alderweireld better than Romero, prime Dembele better than Bentancur, prime Lloris better than current Lloris, and prime Kane better than current Kane. And I don't even see Dele or Eriksen on here, both of whom were monsters in their prime.

I'm not going to get into a big back and forth but anybody who thinks that Spurs' talent level hasn't dramatically decreased since 2016-17 is crazy.

Even Redknapp's Modric, Bale, VDV team was better than current Spurs, let alone Poch's team in their prime. They have really gone backwards a long way, too much investment in being Tottenham Hotspur property development consortium pty ltd and not enough investment in being Tottenham Hotspur a football team.

Had we been ruthless with Ole he would our manager and had Conte been patient and saw that Ole was tanking the season he would be with us.

Poch’s last year was pretty terrible, despite the odd high point. Still, you could argue they have only done worse since. Even so, Poch really wasn’t happy at the end and I would think he was glad to be out of there.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Conte gone soon - probably the huge contract will keep him in the role until the Spurs' board have had enough of his proclamations.

It's good news for us in the race for fourth (cringe). He only signed for 18 months so the pay-off might not be as crazy as it could have been.

I think we can put the myth that Levy is some kind of genius at running football clubs to bed.

Spurs are in as bad as place as they have been since the days of Christian Gross.

All the more remarkable when you consider this squad costs so much more…

I said it before, as long as Conte keeps shitting on this spurs squad they ain't making it top 4. Our only competition is arsenal as I expect west ham to fall away.

Another loss for spurs and that should be it for spurs, Conte will press the self destruct button.

City away next up for them…

Conte's behaviour just show's he's Mourinho mk 2. At some point these managers have to realise it's there job to improve the players they have, not bitch and moan about not getting £100m every window. So fecking glad we dodged this bullet.

"Not getting 100m each window". Are you mad? He got 15 million in his first window...
This is a guy that won Serie A with the likes of Darmian and Lukaku, because he didn't have an actual budget to buy top players.

He's nothing like Mourinho. If he left Spurs I'd love to have him.

He's telling every interviewer he meet's that Spurs are shit and the club is a disgrace, and they won't get top 4. What does he expect to get in a January transfer window? There's hardly money being thrown around and the best players aren't available, he needs to suck it up and stop being a toxic little bitch.

Inter spent an astonishing amount of money over the years leading up to and during his appointment. Then he threw all his toys out of the pram when they said "actually, we can't really afford to do this any more, you know, with covid and whatnot". So he walks out of a good job at a top team because they wouldn't allow him to extend his own personal trophy cabinet.

Now he's at Spurs, who he turned down in the summer because they wouldn't pay him what he wanted or give him guarantee's about spending, and he's still complaining about the same old shite because it's all about him all the time.

He'll walk out of this job in the summer also once he see's the budget for next season because he doesn't actually give a feck about Spurs, he just wants to win trophy's so he can ultimately land the Madrid/PSG/City job and ride the cash cow.

Oh yes... lets talk about Darmian when Hakimi was the starting RB :lol: :lol:

Did you forget Barella? Skrinar? Martinez?

He did spend a lot of money at Inter, 125m net in his 1st season.

What behaviour is this? I agree with everything the guy has said. He is just being truthful about where we are as a club - we all know it's true. If we don't back him significantly in the summer (minimum 4 first team players) then he may well walk but until then all he has done is tell it like he sees it and I completely agree with him.

I agree wholeheartedly with this.

Gone in the summer with comments like that, exactly why I didn't want him here. Always drama.

What is he supposed to say? The squad is excellent and everything is great? It is as plain as day that the standard of our squad is very low and we are miles off being a top 4 side.

I've been on this wagon for ages, Levy is the worst owner in football. Absolute awful management and running of a club.

His biggest asset (Kane) now will never be sold for the money he could of gotten for him, say £150m and they could of given the new manager a huge war chest and new players. Coutinho left Liverpool and they went and bought Allison and Van Dijk etc. Yet, his ego got in the way and he didn't sell him. Now the player isn't making them win games and his value has dropped massively. Consistent managers come in and become disillusioned, spunked £1bn on a stadium in the middle of nowhere, where the best entertainment is the yearly NFL games. We think the Glazers are bad - imagine having Levy.

lloris cost them the game the other night with two pathetic examples of goalkeeping.

He must have seen that before he took the job so I doubt it comes as a surprise or alters his thinking. We'll only see Conte make a real mark if he is backed this summer because this is the weakest Spurs side I've seen in years. Midfield and defence is tragic.

And you're right, as Spurs supporters you need to back Conte because he has ambition to match the fans. I've been there with Jose, nobody liked what he was saying about our squad or finishing 2nd being a big achievement, but he was spot on. The fans turned on the one guy who had some ambition at the club.

Not so much the squad evaluation part, but the moaning about transfer and not getting hi way on that stuff. He always seem to be making ultimatums to whatever club he's at over transfer and it looks like it's already going that way here. Perhaps I'm wrong and spurs will give into him and what he wants but from an outsiders perspective, I doubt that.

Prime Amazon is better than Amazon.

Yes he knew this and it will have come as no surprise to him. He is trying to temper expectations both in the media and with the fans - it is clear that this season is basically a free hit and everything is focused on next summer to get new players in and hopefully come back much stronger for next season. We will need at least 4 transfer windows though to build a new side so only time will tell whether Conte will stay for the couple of years minimum it will take to get us anywhere near where we would hope to be.

He did unfortunately - he is normally very reliable but he had a total nightmare of a game.

I don't watch Spurs week in, week out, but I have to admit Lloris catches my attention a lot with some of the stuff he does. He's always struck me as a bit...erratic. Not the calming influence you want at the back. Still decent most of the time but not 100% reliable.
