Another win for Vanderbilt three in a row all they needed was my support

Penn St. vs Ohio St. in two weeks

I know there has got to be some way of ranking teams since every team can't play every other team but the way we currently do things is eminently flawed.

I alluded to it in my previous post in that 5 of the current top 10 teams have not beaten a single ranked opponent. You should not be rewarded for a cupcake schedule. If your conference is one of the weaker ones schedule strong out of conference opponents. I know the games are scheduled years in advance, but there are perennial powerhouses to go up against.

No one can tell me that (as an example) if Alabama were to play either Miami or Iowa State, they would not be favored. At the end of the day, the 12 teams chosen for the playoffs are going to be (predominantly) the 12 teams with the best win-loss records rather than the 12 best teams. I wish the eye test could be taken into account more than it is. Bookmakers certainly take it into account a lot more than win-loss records.

12 teams is better than 4 though so at least we're making progress towards the best team actually being crowned the Champion.

SEC just handed down a 250k fine for this to make sure fans of other schools don't get any ideas.

Yep. I was just looking ahead.

Don't think there's ever been such a disparity in records since we transitioned from a girls school.
Not the best game from either team last night. On brighter note, Luke Kromenhoek looks to be a baller. FSU should be in good hands with him next year.

Not in my top 10, although they are at 13 in the AP poll.
I think they’ve got a decent shot to beat Ohio St (only team left on their schedule who they won’t be favored against). I’m going to call it now and say they’re a lock to make the playoffs.

It depends if Rourke can stay healthy. I think he's back next week. If they get past their next two opponents they have an outside shot against OSU. We live in a world where the likes of Vanderbilt are beating Bama this year, so anything is possible.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Woof, the QB class this year is really bad. I'm not at all convinced by Sanders and none of the player breakdowns I have seen have been particularly glowing.

Shedeur and Travis are there because of Deion's hype machine. Half of his pals in the media like Stephen A., Shannon Sharpe, Skip Bayless and many others, have been giving Deion and his enterouge lots of free airtime to discuss him and his top players. I do rate Shedeur as one of the better QBs in this class and Travis will probably be a good two way player in the NFL, but everything that is said about them in the media has to be taken with slight pinch of salt.

Cam Ward, Dillon Garbiel, and Jaxon Dart are for me, every bit as good, if not better than Sheduer.

If Georgia had a half decent QB they'd be odds on favorites to win it all. Instead Carson Beck gives everybody else a chance.

I see him as comparable to Bennett. Neither here nor there, but always surrounded by great talent.

Not Clemson if this score holds up.

Why do players on third down catch balls and all they need to do is fall forward for a first down but insist on trying to break one long by circling around and thereby get caught short of the original task of getting the first down. So frustrating

He’s actually pretty good. The rest is hype because of who his old man is, and all his dads friends in the media giving them endless free coverage.
He will ultimately go the way of Richardson & Willis, Williams even, a QB who was overrated & gets a gig due to potential when very little transfers to the NFL.

I think Shedeur has a shot in the pros, mainly because of Deion privilege. His dad will incessantly be in the ear of his GMs and head coaches to keep pushing for kid to be given every chance to be the main man wherever he lands. I've also heard Prime is attempting to make sure Sheduer doesn't end up with the Panthers or Browns.

As for QBs who should do well on Sundays - Cam Ward, Jaxon Dart, Kurtis Rourke are my leading contenders at the moment.

Someone commented (and posted a picture) of the guy on the right grabbing the cops gun belt, which is probably why it went from a bro hug to a beat down so fast.

I haven’t done much research, but on a cursory review it is Cam Ward that is perking up the ears of scouts…not Sanders. Hunter is ‘the guy’ from Colorado to keep an eye on, if he can decide on a position.

And insofar as the exciting positions go, Tet McM looks like he’ll go early.

Hunter is pretty good, but again, i fear his legend of being a Deion acolyte precedes his actual on the field prowess. He has done well, just not Heisman well imo.

As for Ward, I think he's got a legit shot at excelling in the NFL. He's a proper leader with swagger and a high football IQ. I like Dart and Rourke as well, but obviously haven't seen them every week as I have Ward.
