College Football 2024

Georgia in some bother at Old Miss. Not a great game but Old Miss are pretty comfortable.

Best feature of the game so far has been great punting

As long as UGA are riding with Beck they are vulnerable, especially if the opposing QB is leading the nation in passing yards. Only Ohio St and Oregon are playing well at the moment it seems.

That passing yards leader has only one ankle at the moment in this game though. Heavily strapped after getting an early knock.

Have no idea how CF works but is season over or thats just how things looks at that moment?

That’s the first bracket that was issued based on what was at the time the positions of each team in terms of wins and loses and whether they were leading their respective conferences. It will change from week to week depending on whether any of these teams lose games and how a loss affects their conference standings.

For instance, today Georgia and Miami lost which will affect their positions in the bracket. When a new bracket is released on Tuesday, it will reflect changes from this weekend’s games.

Once we get into December and the regular schedule ends, there will be conference championship games and once those conclude we will have the final teams who participate in the above bracket.

What is the general consensus on Jalen Milroe for the draft?

He began the year with very high expectations but had subsequently ranged between average to good. Probably a late first rounder at this point. Sheduer Sanders and Cam Ward are currently considered leading contenders to be QB1 in the draft. Dillon Gabriel also has an outside shot.

Ah oke thanks for replying, watched some games here and there, must say its different kind of interesting compared to NFL, thanks again.

Sat in a bar watching a college game for the first time (we don't get them in the UK). The turf is royal blue...what the feck?

I just don’t even know where to go with thoughts on OU at the moment.

As they say across the pond, we’ve got to decide whether we stick or twist…

The state of Florida is going through some things…

Miami - lost 23-28
Florida - lost 17-49
FSU - lost 3-52
USF - lost 7-28
UCF - lost 31-35

Also…
FAU - lost 14-49 on Thursday

Maybe much earlier than 12 months as we are hemorrhaging recruits.

FSU is a confounding situation. Very good last year with a solid QB leading the way. Clearly, there is something else outside of not having a good QB anymore that is causing these results.

USC, OU, OSU, LSU, FSU, and UF could all be looking for coaches in the next 12 months.

Wouldn't shock me to see Lane Kiffin back at USC.
That would be the biggest shock to the system since, well…USC, OU, and LSU were hiring new coaches.

Kiffin isn’t a great fit for OU, who prefers adopting long-term coaches into the coaching family. If only the Indiana HC was a decade or so younger…

Yep.

Thank god we have Charleston Southern next week before Florida.

Yep. Indiana are a pleasant surprise this year, although, with the FSU case as a caution, I would reserve judgement until after Rourke leaves this year.
