College Football 2024

  1. Texas
  2. Georgia
  3. Tennessee
  4. Oregon
  5. Ohio State
  6. Penn State
  7. Indiana
  8. Big 12 champion
  9. ACC Champion
  10. Boise/Tulane
  11. Notre Dame

Which leaves 1 spot. Here's how I would rank the at large teams.

2 loss Miami
2 loss SMU
3 loss South Carolina
3 loss Ole Miss
3 loss Alabama

If A&M wins out then you don't have an at large spot remaining.

Fecking Ewers with tipped passes... instead of 24-0 it's 17-7 and giving life to A&M. He also fecked up a probable first down on the first second half series when confusing himself on running or making a throw - threw off balance and totally missed a receiver who was short of the marker when running was probably going to get the first or very close.

Watching the powers that be twist themselves into knots to get UAT into the CFP is hilarious.

Why is Hunter the odds on favorite to win the Heisman when Jeanty is #1 in every stat category, has his team in a CFP position and might break the all-time record?

Jeanty should win it but is probably not helped by playing for a minnowish school with little national brand recognition.

Hunter is a very unique talent so it wouldn’t be the end of the world if he wins. He was after all the #1 player in the nation coming out of high school and the fact that he’s been a successful two way starter for a school that has received a lot of free media time (because of Deion) is what will probably set him apart in the end.

I can't wait for Clemson to win in OT and then the CFP dumps a two loss SMU to sneak in UAT. Gonna be wild!

Regarding the SEC title game, I’d just like to point out…

“The protocol requires the Committee to take into consideration the unavailability of key players that may affect a team’s performance during the post-season.”

Can’t wait to see the Playoff Committee’s integrity and consistency shine through as they inform Georgia that, due to the injury to their starting QB, they’ll not be making the playoff.

@calodo2003 , thoughts?

Saban making the case this morning that CFB would be better off creating a 40 team NFL like league where the best schools would always be playing each other. No more games against minnowish schools.

They need to fix this format. Oregon would have been better off losing; Penn St just has 2 crap teams in their way.

If you're going to keep the automatic byes from the 2 shite conferences, at least re-seed after R1.

Agreed. The byes for Boise and ASU, although earned, don’t make for the best matchups in the semis or finals.
