Cold War against China?

Oh let it go, Joe! It was about time that the CCP get a proper taste of a Wolf Warrior-type of diplomat working on the American side for a very rare occasion. I can't tell any of you how many times I have been waiting for someone to make the CCP taste their own medicine.

Nothing surprises me with that lot at the top in terms of hypocrisy anymore. They all enjoy perks in the West, especially in the US (college education for kids, surrogacy, etc. ) while life is absolute crap for the regular folks.

The European Union’s new, tougher approach to China is being shaped by French concerns that Beijing’s trade practices have started to pose a critical threat to core industries.

Christ, that's the final straw for me. With a strategic move like that things have escalated beyond any potential for reconciliation and good relations.

Research by t-online now shows that Krah initiated a German-Chinese lobby network. A close confidant orchestrated it directly from Krah's parliamentary office in Brussels and guided politicians into the one-party state. At the same time, money flowed from China to the confidant via the network. There are indications of connections to the Chinese state.

Thank you to the NYT for exposing Indian opposition journalism Chinese subversion :)

"An investigation by The New York Times had also reported that Indian news portal NewsClick is among organisations funded by a network tied to US millionaire Neville Roy Singham for pushing Chinese propaganda."

Apologies for the source, but this seems to confirm what was being said back in late August...

Absolute crap.

The only reason China support the war in Ukraine is because they are directly profiteering from having virtually unlimited access to Russian resources. Particularly when Chinas economy is on the brink, they’re merely safe guarding for their people.

Most Taiwanese people are not scared of a potential war because they don’t see it happening. China understand there is a potential relationship to be built with Taiwan from an economic standpoint and there’s a need to develop that relationship without conflict to ensure managing China’s global relation with the USA et el.

You forget one major variable here: Xi Jinping. He spent the last 11 years getting rid of all potential enemies within the CCP to have the same kind of iron fist that Putin has on Russia, and that's on top of being an ultranationalist himself. That also means no one in the PLA nor the CCP will say "no" to Xi should he call for the invasion of Taiwan to proceed. With the number of ministers vanishing in the last few months, it is indicative of the man's intentions or psyche.

For the record, even Ukraine got caught with their pants down in early stages of the conflict because most Ukrainians didn't think that an invasion would take place; the US were the only ones who got their intel right. The best safeguard against any possible invasion of Taiwan is by beefing up military support for Taiwan from the US, Japan, South Korea and other countries in the region regardless.
