So what happens when Diaz comes back from injury? You can't keep both Diaz and Gakpo happy, then you have 100 mil Nunez also. This move doesn't make sense.

This morning Gakpo was apparently still wanting to come to us and personal terms were still agreed from the summer. This piece just mentions the clubs talking, no mention of the player. I'll believe whatever's been written when he actually signs for someone.

It's not like this is brand new interest from Liverpool. They were monitoring him for a while. United were also quite keen but have yet to submit an offer. The moment they do, I feel like Gakpo's say will matter big time (i.e. his preference is to join United).
