Club Sale | It’s done!

Avram is said to be the only family member who actually likes watching football and is invested in United's success. The rest of them are only in it for the money.

Maybe Sir Jim or the Sheikh can give him a box as part of the deal…. And bury it.

A big profit? A profit on what exactly?

These cnuts haven't put a penny into United, they could sell United for £600 quid and make a big profit.

Wankers

they put a few hundred million in

but probably already in profit on that initial investment

There’s no endgame to a partial sale for them is there. If they raise a billion it’s just more debt they’ll have to pay back, the pot is empty there’s no money left in the club it will all need to go on facilities and the squad anyway

Plus the fact if they default on paying back the loans they could lose the club.

In the initial sale yes about £250m but as far as I'm aware that was the PIK loans they took out to buy the club. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think they ended up paying those back from the clubs profits as well.

Wouldn’t that also have gone into the selling share holders pockets rather than the club?

If this is true and he really is on "a fishing expedition" then he's an even dumber businessman than I thought. Having let it get this far only to pull the rug out from serious bidders, he would instantly lose all credibility with potential future buyers and depress the market for his own product.

Why should anyone believe him the next time he says he wants to sell the club? Will he pinky swear it's for realsies?

This is why it’s just insane. To have already made profit and getting billions out of this sale. Probably around 3 billion cash (that’s not enough apparently) shows their greed.

They are too broke to hold our club and this sale is the main thing their family will ever accomplish.

Families like theirs are a huge problem for mankind in general. They bring very little value to anything they are involved in and hoard cash that can be used in the world for actual good. Not just fixing a roof but making society a better place overall.

Something they have never done.

I'm talking about the loan the Glazers took out to pay those shareholders as part of the takeover.

The Glazers took out several types of loans to buy the club. Ultimately the club has ended up paying off all those loans or continue servicing them.

Sounds about right. My understanding is they’ve never put a penny in.

the club wasn't liable for the PIK loans no, the Glazers were and they paid them off

It doesn’t get more sports washy than American Football in the Middle East

It should never have been allowed, isn’t now, and the fact these rats, a family of failed ‘business’ people (a rotting fish market, and decaying strip mall operators, like some kind of faux slum lords) came in and for no money of their own exploited millions of ppl’s bond with a community asset, one often tied to generations of their family and thus impossible to turn their back on, is unforgivable. I hope they and all get what’s coming to them, regardless of the sale. Putrid.

Imagine the Glazers sell United for 6b and buy Liverpool for 3b
And then signed Arthur on a permanent deal instead of a loan. Gave Ox a new contract to preserve value. Brought in Gerrard as manager to revive the troops.

It's not true. The Raine group aren't some maggots on a fishing hook.

Plus, it makes no sense that they're on a "fishing expedition".as you say, they would lose all credibility. They would then not attract the fees that they are being offered now.

These reports are created to sell news, and unfortunately, the fans buy it.

They took out that "few hundred million" that they put in, when they restructured their deal a few years back.

So, in essence, they have no equity tied in the club. It's been 100% profits for them for around a decade now. Not only have they been taking out management fees and dividends, but they have also been using the club as collateral to fund their other ventures.

Whatever they sell the club for, which they will sell, will all be profits.

They would be that lucky. Sourness would be the best option. Playing 80s footie --- and blaming everyone else for not being good enough or even half as good as him.

Based on his experience as Liverpool manager, the guy deserves a statue at OT

If this actually is just a fishing expedition, the Glazers will obviously never actually confirm that and nor would anyone be able to prove it. They'll simply say that they were willing to sell and had a price in mind that was never met, so they'll take a minority investment to improve the club's finances somewhat in the short term and will try again for a sale 5 or so years down the road.

They have never at any stage said that the end goal of this process is selling the club. Raine will get a fat fee regardless and will be more than happy to act if the Glazers decide to bring the club to market again in future.

And that is the key bit here, Raine will get paid. Big money. And there's no way that the Raine Group will get paid for "fishing".

Glazers will not be paying silly just to understand what interest there is in the club on the market. They're here to sell.
