The guys father is one of the richest/most powerful men in Qatar he’s obviously well connected
The same father that has said this is a shit deal and he wants nothing to do with it.
If Jassim really has state backing, he won’t be losing this bid to Ratcliffe.

Just look at Nice in France they’ve gone backwards since Ineos took over

People think he’s going to compete in England? yeah ok

Hope this Ratcliff dude will sell in another few years when club stocks go down without any CL qualification.

Clubs fecked under Jim he can’t even compete in a 1 club league in France

He clearly doesn’t have the type of funds needed to compete at the very top and he’s gotten into bed with the Glazers it seems

I’m tired of people saying that Jim doesn’t have the funds. Even without INEOS, he would be the third richest owner in the Premier League.

How is a whole rich state getting beaten by INEOS, who need a loan to buy 50% of the club?

HAVE SOME SHAME!
The 92 Foundation's official documents that are on record list loans as a possible source of funding. Qatar as a nation has something like 70-90 billion in national debt (30-40% of their GDP).

This isn't to say that Qatar are skint or anything, but rather to reinforce that companies and countries intentionally operate with debt. The massive difference between the Glazers leveraging the debt on the club and Ineos or Qatar using loans/debt to buy the club, but keeping those loans on themselves and not the club, is everything.

We don't know if, or how much of a loan Ineos will use for the purchase, but what they do is a choice, not a necessity because they're skint. Ineos currently carries more debt than what United will cost them, yet they are also one of the most profitable companies in the world.

The super league idea is alive and well and coming for it all. That’s why them parasites are sticking around for a few years, wait for the SL to get up and running, get their money and get out.

He's richer than all the Glazer siblings combined and we've spent as much as City have over the last 10 years on the team so I think you're talking nonsense.

Where are those who refer to this as a state bid now?

I would like you all to apologise to Jassim.

I don’t want Ratcliffe anywhere near United because of his dirty history as a businessman. A proven lier. Someone who’s willing to walk over dead bodies whenever he sees an opportunity. Living in Monaco to avoid taxes despite his strong and vocal Brexit stance.
Are those dead bodies the migrant workers in Qatar?

(sorry, but you just left that open for the taking)

In all seriousness, the Qatari bid needs to offer a valuation that would equal (or more than) what Joel and Avram would receive in two/three years time when Jim buys them out.

 Less than 5??? Stick a fork in this - it’s done. Welcome Sir Jim!

Tbf it depends if 4.9bn was just for the Glazers shares, that would value the whole club at 7bn, but obviously if that's a valuation for the whole club rather than just their shares it's substantially less

It’s the stadium and debts I’m worried about mate. We’ve blown money on the first team squad sure but literally every other aspect of the club is fecked, does Jim have the funds to get everything done? It’s a billion on the stadium before we even discuss making a signing

Then there’s the debt. We know with his 69% offer that he was willing to put debt onto Ineos….he’d be a fecking moron to do that with the 2 Glazers staying on he won’t do that.

because Qatar wanted feck all to do with the Glazers staying. Hilarious that Jim gets control and they stay on isn’t it
They (well, two of them) stay on as essentially shareholders who own a lot of shares. Ratcliffe also has the option to buy them out in three years, and the decision-making power is with him.

if the Qataris were serious, this wouldn’t be a contest. The fact that it is could mean they really aren’t and fans should not get their knickers in a twist. Jassims father’s comments are telling and maybe fans should just take things for what they are.
It's incredible how many people have ignored those comments.

On the 29th April, we got three or four different sources report that Ratcliffe INEOS bid was ahead. I chalked it up to just it being a brief but since then its pretty much been radio silence from the Qatari camp. Even Mike Keegan hasn't said much lately. Hearing this news from The Times pretty much seals it in my eyes. Looks like the Qataris have lost. The writing is on the wall... Shame really.

Their offer to each Glazer is lower than Ratcliffe’s.
To me it seems the Qataris you are desperate for are not as desperate. Bidding an entire enterprise value of less than £5bn is a joke that was never going anywhere.
What’s worse there are reports that figure even includes future investment.

Brexit Jim's bid represents the highest valuation of the club, according to The Times this evening.

So the guy who definitely doesn't have the money is willing to pay more than the guy who clearly has all the money in the world ready to go

What more do we need to know to understand what we get?

Seeing him as our new owner would be my biggest disappointment as a supporter for this club. I can’t think of a worse outcome and I’m begging to higher Gods this’ll not happen. Nightmare is an understatement.

We reject your request.

It’s 3 extra years, with them out of control and without a say. It’s presumably an end to dividends being taken out of the club, and an end to the debt.
You’re really getting this out of proportion. Even without a penny of INEOS money in we will thrive without all the Glazer money out. This is a good thing for our club.

The problem we’ve got is the investment the club needs. They offered 5B for the club which is or isn’t high enough but with the debt needing to be paid and stadium being built you’re looking at 7B before we’ve even entered the transfer market this summer.

There’s nobody, not even Jim willing to do that. Hence why he’s get 50% of the club and those 2 rat faced fecks stay on leaching even more money.

Well done Jim you’ve got in bed with the Glazers. Awesome that

But will he put the debt into Ineos with only a 50% stake? I just can’t see it

As compared to the richest man in the UK with a net worth of around £13 billion. Neither are exactly badly off.

How do you know that? They can have a voting right as minority owner. In some things of course.
Possibly, but I'm not worried at all if they just have voting power. It's their inaction and making stupid decisions that cost the club, but I dont think they would ever act against the interests of the club simply out of spite. They'll just sit along quietly for the ride and take their money in a few years.

It’ll be for the EV of the club, nobody is handing the Glazers 5bn.
Stop grasping for straws and be pleased we are getting rid of the incompetent Glazers.

I mean it could be brinkmanship by the Glazers but on the face of it the 2 who apparently wanted to stay involved are going to get their wish with the SJR bid so that seems to have given him the lead.

Regardless of how this whole transfer saga plays out, for us fans one thing should be clear: we now know why it takes so long for our transfers to be completed.

According to reports, the Glazers like to sign off and weigh in into every bid we make.

If this ownership saga is anything to go by, then no wonder we are so slow in the transfer market.

We will be fine. He's worth 15bn. Malcolm Glazer was worth about 4bn as a comparison.

He's also got a company with 60bn revenues behind him which makes us incredibly secure. INEOS aren't going anywhere any time soon. They are a global giant.
