Arnold knows his head's probably on the chopping block regardless of who comes inAnyone else think it's interesting that the Athletic is suddenly pushing positive pieces on Richard Arnold? Possibly briefed to try and get the new owner to believe Arnold is worth keeping? I have said it a few times but it does really feel like the end of the process is approaching now.

(Verse 1) Yo, listen up, I got a tale to tell,
About Manchester United and two owners so swell,
In a life-or-death game, the stakes are high,
Gotta pick between Radcliffe and Sheik Jassim, oh my!
(Chorus) Radcliffe, a titan with a treasure chest of gold,
Financial stability, his story's often told,
Sheik Jassim, from Qatar's royal clan,
Experience in sports, a part of his grand plan.
(Verse 2) Radcliffe's got the cash,
he's a business tycoon, Ineos founder,
he'll make United swoon,
But Sheik Jassim, he's got that royal touch,
Qatar's involvement, it might mean so much!
(Chorus) Radcliffe's got the wealth, a mountain of dough,
Sheik Jassim, a sports master, don't you know,
Both have their merits, it's a tough call to make,
Who'll lead United to glory, for goodness sake?
(Bridge) In this rap game, decisions ain't easy,
Analyzing the options, it can make you queasy,
But remember, my friend, it's more than just the dough,
The club's values and vision, let that knowledge flow.
(Verse 3) So, as I wrap up this rhyme, here's the final say,
Choosing the better owner, it's not child's play,
Consider the facts, but keep an open mind,
For United's future, the right choice we must find!
(Chorus) Radcliffe or Sheik Jassim, who'll take the lead,
United's destiny, their actions will feed,
In this rap battle of ownership might,
Let's hope for a decision that makes everything right!

Winning arguments on the internet - christ man grow up.
The idea that one billionaire is better than another is preposterous. They’re all a bunch of slimy self serving cnuts and nobody has made billions without disregard for human rights along the way. You’re green as grass if you think otherwise - Billionaires in the west work harder to hide it and use green washing schemes to outsource their human rights abuses to the third world. You won’t have to dig very far to find INEOS guilty of pretty awful stuff, I’d wager that you either haven’t bothered looking or you’re happy to look the other way or excuse it because his facade fits more comfortably for you.

We've spent well over twice as much as Manchester City yet people still think we'll pass them out if only we spent a bit more money...

Congratulations! The sun is already running a story about you being preferred bidder. So I've just checked my email and National Lottery have told me to check my account. Not one to jump to conclusions I am ready to prematurely conclude I have won big and presumably, it's in the region of £20billion (that's the midweek jackpot I think).
So I'm putting a bid in. For those concerned, let me reassure you that I have some sunflower oil in the cupboard, about 400ml left. For the local club for local people, I work in Rochdale and am a global leader in sports. I also once took Cheltenham Town to the Premier League on Championship Manager.
Clearly the perfect candidate. I'm willing to buy out 5 Glazers and keep Darcie.
Thank you for your support.
D’oh! Seems we have found Zilliacus’ Caf account.Edit
The above is on hold. Was a free lucky dip and not £20billion. I plan to appeal this farce but feel confident it will be resolved by Saturday, probably at 10pm.
first it was leaked that Jassim was favourite, then Elliott were favourite, then SJR was favourite and now the media seem shifting again to Jassim. Now this is my opinion of course but its seems quite clear that
a- they are clueless of what's going on
b- that the Glazers are feeding the media
That sounds like his personal opinion on things
He also retweeted this
If he seriously thinks we want both Ramos and Kane, that just proves he's clueless
I'd be ok with whoever takes over, be it SJR or Jassim. As long as we get to kick the Glazers to the curb.
But is it me or does it feel a bit underwhelming in SJR's case? Gut feeling is that during SJR's reign, we will still continue to fail to recruit in vital areas eg striker, keeper etc. And having doubts of SJR hiring effective backroom staff like the DOF position.
Just strikes me that with Jassim's ownership, we will see more significant and obvious changes to the club.
You not into the Mitchell rumours? Seems a decent place to start to me.And having doubts of SJR hiring effective backroom staff like the DOF position.
Probably watch the pennies and take an overview - trust those you hire to do their job the way you want it done.I wonder; if you were super rich, big United fan and you become an owner; how would you stop yourself from buying/selling players on your own?
No way that i could stay away from transfers.
It’s better management of club needed, not more cash according to those figures.
Not really. We need 2 strikers as Martial isn't good enough. So assuming money isn't a thing for the owners, they may want it.
Not saying that's going to happen but isn't a "clueless" thing as you portray
Yeah, striker who is wanted around Europe, will choose to be a sub for Harry Kane next few years. Not really. We need 2 strikers as Martial isn't good enough. So assuming money isn't a thing for the owners, they may want it.

The SunThe Sun's story or has there been another tweet/source saying the same since I checked the thread at 6am?
If it is true that United sell to Ratcliffe now, then 100% what will happen is that the people from Qatar will buy Liverpool instead and make them the leading team in England.

Apparently Jamie Jackson said he’d be surprised if it’s not Qatar, while he was on a youtube interview this morning
Probably nothing. But he has been first with some info during all this
This is such a funny post because you replied with so much vim, and all your post shows is how shit things are for these clubs under INEOS
I’m not sure I trust the City numbers but no argument that we have squandered huge sums of money. No overarching strategy and a tendency towards reactive buys when top 4 is at risk.
The point not disclosed by those figures is capital expenditure on infrastructure upgrades. In the last 18 years, United’s has been limited to paying someone to fix the leak in the roof. We badly need to catch up in that area as well as the playing side.
