Club ownership | Senior management team talk

If Musk gets his hand on this club we're doomed.

The whole idea of Jim owning the club without having the proper financial muscle to invest was always weird to me. If it's just the case of building a proper football structure, well then we only needed a new CEO. He can't fully own the club, he can't fund the stadium, he can't clear the debt, then what's the added value of his existence really?
Keep musk well, well away, he will rebrand Old Trafford to the X stadium.

That's the ultimate goal but not realistic yet. Less pr drama. Good structure means a well oiled machine top to bottom, better work and training environments for players. Manage to create a good environment for all teams including youth and womens. Boardroom without drama. Money guys NOT involved in football decisions.
You are naive if you think these things come overnight

I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with many aspects of the Old Trafford experience compared to other sporting events in the US and Europe. The stadium atmosphere during the match was very good, bordering on great. The before/after aspects of the experience were subpar. Facilities were subpar. Food and drink were subpar. Transportation to and from Old Trafford were subpar. Given what I paid, I think United could deliver a better experience for less money even. Went to a Spurs match the next day and was blown away by the quality of the experience for what I paid. Better view of the pitch, better concessions, less money. Transportation still a problem.

I do think that the US generally does live sports better in infrastructure and concessions, technology, seat comfort, transportation. Atmosphere during the match is generally better in Europe and England.

I’m encouraged that the club leadership wants to take elements of US infrastructure and entertainment, technology, housing, restaurants, etc. while maintaining or improving match atmosphere.

Live sports I’ve attended include football, gridiron football, baseball, F1, NBA, World Cup, horse racing (so much fun, Kentucky Derby), sumo wrestling (amazing).

I mean, a hygiene inspection would take place probably twice a year, so if you're going to try and blame anyone in the ownership for that one it'd have to be Ratcliffe.
Yeah of course, the stadium started falling down and became a home to mice in the last year.

All UK construction being known to collapse after a maximum of 12 months…

Are you for real?

Again, health inspections take place twice a year or more in restaurants. Mice don't move in to the kitchen because the building is falling down. If they weren't there 6 months ago but are there now its either bad luck or something has changed in that time. For example some of the cleaners or kitchen staff being made redundant.

It's a nothing story. Don't be a massive idiot or if you are going to be cut out the "are you for real" rubbish.

So you didn’t read the article as they mention the mice were not found in the kitchen. Makes sense.

I heard SJR shipped the mice in himself to rid one of his chemical plants of them. It was allegedly part of the contract for the last investment he made, under the heading ‘infrastructure improvements’.

Sigh.

Do you even know what you want to argue or be angry about or just arguing for the sake of it?

Again (for the third time) it was a health inspection. They are carried out regularly. Many many times since the Glazers took over..It really isn't something to pin or base any wider issues on unless you're an idiot.

If you do want to be angry about it, Ratcliffe is equally responsible as he's part owner.

Sorry I have to come back to this because I can't get over how dumb this post is to then have "are you for real?" at the end

What's the stadium falling down got to do with mice? Why are you linking the two? Also the stadium isn't falling down. The second sentence is pure gibberish.

Merry Christmas

Do you really think the owner of ANY big business is going to get involved on hygiene inspections?
If you are looking for a name to pin this on then it’s Berrada, Roche or any number of lower management figures that will carry the can for this. Ratcliffe and any of the Glazers probably found out like we all did yesterday.

That’s like saying Amad is equally responsible for our current form as Rashford because he’s part of the squad. If you can’t grasp that point then there’s no point discussing it.

Mice generally don’t move in to well maintained structures, the Glazers are solely responsible for the Stadium being left to dilapidate over a course of years.

SJR has come in and recognised immediately that they have let the place fall into such decay that we may as well build a new stadium.

It really isn’t that hard to grasp the point here.

You guys need to make friends with some of the press because holy shit are you getting negative coverage. A vermin infestation not long after the staff Xmas bonus cuts?

Never mind a new striker or set price coach, you need a new PR department.

We need a new nearly everything.

The club had kicked a hornet nest (sacking employees + pushing certain players to the wall). It's normal for leaks to come out

When you treat the staff and fans like shit over and over again it will come out. Forget making friends with journalists and just treat the staff like actual people, would go a lot farther. The negative coverage is completely of their own doing.

That's bound to send a statement to the first-team players full of complacency we currently have?
I don't think so. This seems to be a pretty standard job change. Maybe it sende the message that Formula One teams offer better conditions to their cooks, but I can't imagine anyone seeing that as some kindif statement.
