Club ownership | Senior management team talk

It’s so sad watching the timbers falling in this once great football, Manchester United, while rhe owners split the spoils of what’s left of it while claiming they cannot afford to bring in new players to at least ensure we stay clear of relegation.

Yeah we desperately needed a full sale

I believe its called injuries.

Rashford probably wasn’t get picked whether there were injuries or not, Antony was so ineffective that it doesn’t matter whether he was at the club or not.

There is potentially a much higher upside to allowing those two to leave than keeping them for the sake of it.

In the summer they need to be shipped out permanently or loaned with obligations and we need significant upgrades in attack.

Didn't the club hire an entire executive and footballing operations team so that this clown would take a back seat and let people do their jobs?
Yep. So now everybody knows that United's executives don't actually call the shots. He just cut their balls.

INEOS being clueless again.

Until we get 2 injuries in attack sure.

Rashford wouldn’t be picked even with two injuries and Antony offered nothing so it doesn’t make a difference. Someone else from academy will get a chance if it comes to it.

Antony didnt offer nothing, no issue with loaning Rashford. Unless you mean Zirkzee and Hojlund also offered nothing. Heck why didn’t we loan the whole attack since its probably the worst in the league?

For your defending INEOS I have one question.

We couldn't have gotten a striker on loan for the rest of the season?

I don't think the financial side of things is an easy sell to fans that know our history, but the club's in an awful position, and really needs to start building some cash.

I think part of the reason Ashworth was fired was the transfer spend. He essentially built Ten Hag FC without fixing key functional components that needed to be fixed as a priority.

That spend and the club's position since I mean come on, they will see the data from the analysts, these players are poor. Some would do very well in a functional team but that's what's missing and it left us with nothing to fix it and a need to change manager.

He's head of sports performance at INEOS and this is his thing. Let him have his clinically sterile training stations etc if he really wants them. It's good practice anyway.

A lot of it is psychological or bull anyway, but if you aren't doing anything you are doing nothing.

Eh? Ashworth joined in July, so his involvement in building "Ten Hag FC" was minimal.

8 appearances in the league, 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 chances created, 135 total minutes. I think we’ll cope ok, whoever plays instead can’t offer any less.

Whether we could replace them or not, keeping them would have been pointless and counter productive in terms of trying to get rid of them in the summer.

We’ll see hopefully we don’t get injuries else we’ll get sucked into a relegation battle

Mission 21, good grief.

Sometimes I think some millionaire/billionaire rival fans infiltrate the club just to take the piss out of us.

It's pathetic, just do it and then talk about it afterwards, not the other way around, and why does it need a nickname?

There's something about that Brailsford bloke that makes me feel very uneasy.

I agree with this but I don't think it was him making the decision in isolation. I think there were other people involved including Blanc and Wilcox.
Amorim coming in was completely a Berrada thing from all reports and Amorim himself said that Berrada told him face to face when Berrada flew out to Portugal within a few hours of ETH being fired that it was now or never, reports said Brailsford wanted Southgate whilst Ashworth wanted Frank or Howe and that Ashworth was against bringing Amorim in due to Amorim being married to his tactical set up when we didn’t have the players to play it or the money to bring players in to play it.

As someone else also said and I’ve said no matter what way you dress it up Berrada is NOT a football man and as CEO has no right in choosing the head coach or making any footballing decisions especially when Ashworth and even Wilcox were there who were in charge of the footballing department as publicly said by Ratcliffe himself, Berrada whilst more competent than both is basically the same as Woodward and Arnold were as far as his role at United.

Based on that article, there's a huge focus on the overall athleticism and conditioning of the players. The technical aspects of football seem to remain with Wilcox, Vivell, etc., but Brailsford is definitely taking charge of ensuring that United becomes fitter, more athletic team both in the men's and women's sides.

Do people seriously believe that Berrada made some unilateral decision to hire Amorim and ignored everyone else. It was reported as a collective decision but just because Berrada flew out to Lisbon it’s been exaggerated as if he just went and did it all by himself.

Everything is pretty bleak at the moment but it seems a bit silly to be complaining about the CEO finalising the deal to hire a new manager.
