Christiano Ronaldo - NO current rumors

I would still take him. If Zlatan couldn't find the player he was then Ronaldo would still be useful. But there are other options also. Sanchez coming in is a massive boost! But if Zlatan steps up? Suddenly, we've goals in the team and with Sanchez hopefully more composure in the final third. Ronaldo is not finished yet. In this United team, Ronaldo would get us close to City. But for me we need to weigh the market up. We really don't want to help Madrid but if they offered him at a reasonable price? Then that's great! But if not, then there are other options.

Don´t know, who will sign him.

England: Nobody, I don´t think he wants to destroy his fanship here.

Spain: Nobody.

Italy: Juventus maybe? But can they pay him?

Germany: Only Bayern, but they wonßt pay his wages.

So the only team in Europe, who can afford him and is not in England is Paris. Are they allowed to buy him? Mbappe is expensive...

Can see him coming back witb Real in the CL and stay in Madrid or go to the USA.

Here's hoping he realises quickly he not really wanted here and picks China/the MLS.
A transfer window full of heavy rumours of him coming here would be irritating.

He can feck off. Giving a fading star a long contract on huge wages who, let’s face it, wouldn’t come back to us unless he wasn’t getting what he wanted at Real. I know the story is bullshit like it is every year but it feels good to finally say “no”.

There is no place for him here. We have Sanchez, Martial, Lukaku as our main front 3. I cant see any of them wanting to sit on the bench cause sure as hell Ronaldo wouldn't.

I would take him back on modest 2 year deal. Very modest. Basically to be 4th or 5th best paid player on the team. I just don;t trust he can come back to Manchester United with any fire or motivation to win everything. He will have fire to self promote himself and to try to pump the stats, but we don't need that.

Let Alexis Sanchez shine and be number 1 star until Martial realizes he has it!

Too old now and his wages are ridiculous. I want the next version of Ronaldo at Manchester United not the expiring one.

Will never happen, unfortunately. Should have come last summer.

What's the reason for his bad relationship with Mourinho?

Martial is starting to show form and at 21 will only get better, maybe not peak for us Ronaldo but still potentially world class.

Lukaku is our main striker and at £80 million I can’t see us not having him as first choice, Rashford would be back up to Lukaku as well as to Martial and he’s progressing nicely even if he’s out of form right now.

Sanchez right now is probably a more dangerous player than Ronaldo as Sanchez is in his prime years and is already a top 5 in the league player, Lingard is having the season of his life and hopefully going to get better and there’s still a chance we sign Ozil on a free in the summer whilst Mata is back up to all.

Ronaldo now only wants to stay on par with Messi in the pay stakes and his standing as arguably the best player in the world which he’s not as he’s in decline whilst Messi is evolving his game again and now excelling again, Ronaldo uses our love for him as a weapon against Real but due to his poor return this year Real aren’t biting and we don’t want so he’s in limbo.

I think if Sir Alex was still our manager I wouldn't worry about him coming back. I feel like only SAF can 'control' him. Cristiano and Mourinho didn't do well together at Madrid as far as I can remember, so not sure how it would work out now.

In any case, I'm sure he'll reach some agreement with Madrid and that will be that.

He'd want his #7 and a million a week, he'd get that I'm China, he should go there.

From what I read Ronaldo was fed up with Mourinho's negative tactic, probably the same reason for Hazard too. Mourinho asks his star attacking players to take alot of defensive responsibility, which normally doesn't end well with the superstars as they want to reserve their energy for attacking play. I remember the real ronaldo never defends and he just walked around on the pitch when his team didn't have the ball.

Why? I think the facts are right, they certainly did that in 11/12 season.

They claimed that was Mourinho's final season. It wasn't. His final season was the 2012-13 season. Less said about that season the better from Mourinhho's point of view.

Jose's comments were quite tongue in cheek. He'd probably cost more than he's worth (despite the marketing angle) including wages. And it would pretty much spell the end for Lukaku's United career.

Even if they were to try to use him in part exchange for Neymar (plus a pile of cash), that would take some doing convincing Ronaldo's ego of leaving for a better model...

I am gonna go out on a limb and say the chances of Jose going for Ronaldo are slim to none.

Jose and Ronaldo do not have the best of relationships and Mourinho's just given Ronaldo's number to Alexis. He is clearly not looking to make a move for him.

Woodward has given Mourinho almost total control of first team affairs. The only thing he doesn't do is unquestionably sign who Jose wants to sign, and Jose gets nowhere near the push back he got at Chelsea and Madrid.

If Ronaldo comes back I'd expect Jose to leave soon after.

Not that this is even a possibility of interest from PSG's point of view, but as others mentioned, CR7's fragile ego couldn't handle being a piece of trade to get Neymar. I'd be really shocked if he went anywhere other than China or the US.

I'd be very surprised that a player of his natural fitness would go to the retirement home so soon. But it's hard to see his next destination within top level football. He's 33 in a couple of weeks. It doesn't make sense for most clubs to pay a huge transfer fee plus enormous wages. Low transfer fee and big wages or a relatively high transfer fee and lower base wage + bonuses would make sense.

He's maybe got 2-3 seasons left in the tank, but he's finally on the decline.

He'll end up in America to try and crack that market commercially.

That's the thing, I'm sure he'd rather stay in Europe but who will realistically be able to afford a player past his best (by some margin at this point) who wants a pay rise from an already astronomical amount on top of a transfer fee? It's just not going to happen, he's too disruptive to a team's offense, he's more of a headache at this point than a solution for the very short list of European clubs who could afford him. Again, I think he's staying put but if he leaves, I can't see anywhere else than those two countries as realistic options.

As a player, it'd be a great boost to the team. He'd automatically be our best player.

Financially, idk if it's possible. He's genuinely on like a bazillion dollars a week, so i don't see it working out.

Just wages alone, imagine something like 500K a week for 4 years, that's £100 million on wages! We'd probably need the same again as a fee. That same financial outlay could get us Ozil (who's free) and Veratti, or a Dybala, or a left back, right back and central midfielder (maybe have to throw in a bit more money there).

Just doesn't make sense.

Right now, on present form alone, Martial, Pogba, and Sanchez are better players than he is.
