Is this just a transfer, though? Our managers have and will always have total control of transfers.

Real want Hazard and think about them a sec. They are seriously lacking in front of goal as it is and if Hazard goes. It will be a dead zone. Maybe Dzeko can lift them but either way. I see them being his only real option. He'd never play for another club in England.

If not them who else? And there is no loyalty in football, has unashamedly used us to get a payrise many times
Something like 94 shots in La Liga for 4 goals, if I'm not mistaken.
Every time a old player goes through a sticky patch, clubs are afraid to keep them on as it could mean decline. Remember Sir Alex saying with old players it can go downhill rather quickly without warning.Madrid are unreal, a player who has carried them for years has a bad 6 months and is told he can leave..if the rumours are to be believed.
When is Ronaldo's contract ending? this scenario you've painted is hardly impossible if Hazard doesn't sign.Real want Hazard and think about them a sec. He's not happy and basically Real not happy with him. It looks like its all coming ot an end. When is his contract ending?

It does for the team that's looking to pick him up. Most teams won't even look in his direction given his wages. He's not happy and basically Real not happy with him. It looks like its all coming ot an end.
Contract lenght dont matter really if they agree to part.

With #7 shirt gone, so should this rumor.
You may never know. Sanchez could be given the No. 10 shirt when Zlatan departs.

I'd hate to see us pay crazy money for him. He's clearly in decline. In the last season in a half he's only been good for one spell of about 3 months.
There's a lot of people out there convinced he's the best player in the world. No one's paying crazy money for him anymore. He's 33 and having an abysmal season.
Literally no one apart from @Cal?There's a lot of people out there convinced he's the best player in the world.
To be fair, he did win the Ballon D'or last year (and the year before!)There's a lot of people out there convinced he's the best player in the world.
But you overlook the most important part. No matter what he’s valued at. Hazard is worth more! And he wants to go to Real if the whispers can be believedIt does for the team that's looking to pick him up. Most teams won't even look in his direction given his wages.

It's unlikely that he would though — MLS fits in fantastically in his career trajectory. If he'll go there in a year or two, he'll dominate the league for another 3-4 years, given his dedication, and will make himself an even bigger figure on the U.S. market. He is pretty much an upgraded Beckham mentally (and physically), and he is nothing alike those Brazilians.I hope for Ronnie sake he just retires in the next 2-3 years. I'd hate to see him do a Romario or Ronaldinho where he hops around between lesser clubs - or even more pathetic, go to the Middle East, MLS, or Asia.
big poll in the fanbase want him gone. Scenes
Exactly. A lot of people still think he's the best.
Cristiano wore #9 at Madrid before. There’s no reason he wouldn’t take the #10 at United. With #7 shirt gone, so should this rumor.
Where would he fit in the team? Do we drop Lukaku, Martial or Sanchez to accomodate him? Will he work for the team or just do his own thing and demand to be the focal point in the penalty area.
Jose is very much aware of how to balance a team, with Ronaldo we'd have a lot of players needing to do his running, so that'd be Martial out the team for starters.
I'd rather Ronaldo goes to China, PSG or the states. His fee and wages would be absurd and our club needs to look slightly more long term. Loved him during his time at United but he forced his way out and shouldn't be allowed to return when he's past his best and wanting that fat retirement contract.
The Ballon D'or is essentially awarded to the player (from the group of great players in the world) who had the best season. It's not an objective judgement on who is the best player in the world regardless of team success. The two are inextricably linked.
People fail to make that distinction generally.
Nah he’s a much bigger star now than he was back then. #7 at Real was taken up by Raul who was a Madrid legend so Ronaldo ultimately had to suck it up.Cristiano wore #9 at Madrid before. There’s no reason he wouldn’t take the #10 at United.
Yes he has a brand and all that but if he REALLY wanted to come back, he wouldn’t care about a stupid number.
