Christiano Ronaldo - NO current rumors

Him, Mou and De Gea share the same agent, pretty sure if Mou wants Ronnie, Ronnie himself will be the first one to know it and same can be said if Mou doesnt want him. I dont think for one second Mou wants him back, he's got his forward with Alexis, next summer pretty sure he aims for one big midfield signing.

That being said, I love Cristiano but feck off, stay away from Manchester you greedy primadona.

He'd never play for another club in England.
Real want Hazard and think about them a sec. They are seriously lacking in front of goal as it is and if Hazard goes. It will be a dead zone. Maybe Dzeko can lift them but either way. I see them being his only real option.

If not them who else? And there is no loyalty in football, has unashamedly used us to get a payrise many times

No issues with him coming back. I think he can easily play another 2-3 years of top flight footy - Ibra was great for us last year at 35.

All I care about is that he earns his spot in the team like every other player.

I don't see what's the problem with using United's name to get a payrise though. It's not like he's hurting the club or the fans and when it's obvious the news are coming directly from his agent I don't think United's name was ever involved. The journalists just fill in the gaps like they always do,

Moving to a rival club would be a lot different and he clearly likes United.

Something like 94 shots in La Liga for 4 goals, if I'm not mistaken.

I think 2 of those goals are from penalties as well.

Ronaldo uses our club every time he wants a payrise from Madrid (or wants his tax evasion penalty taken care of). Seems to happen pretty much every summer although this time what's different is that Madrid may actually be willing to call Ronaldo's bluff instead of giving him whatever he wants.

Madrid are unreal, a player who has carried them for years has a bad 6 months and is told he can leave..if the rumours are to be believed.

Every time a old player goes through a sticky patch, clubs are afraid to keep them on as it could mean decline. Remember Sir Alex saying with old players it can go downhill rather quickly without warning.

When is his contract ending?

When is Ronaldo's contract ending? this scenario you've painted is hardly impossible if Hazard doesn't sign.

He's not happy and basically Real not happy with him. It looks like its all coming ot an end.

Contract lenght dont matter really if they agree to part.

It does for the team that's looking to pick him up. Most teams won't even look in his direction given his wages.

You may never know. Sanchez could be given the No. 10 shirt when Zlatan departs.

Where would he fit in the team? Do we drop Lukaku, Martial or Sanchez to accomodate him? Will he work for the team or just do his own thing and demand to be the focal point in the penalty area.
Jose is very much aware of how to balance a team, with Ronaldo we'd have a lot of players needing to do his running, so that'd be Martial out the team for starters.
I'd rather Ronaldo goes to China, PSG or the states. His fee and wages would be absurd and our club needs to look slightly more long term. Loved him during his time at United but he forced his way out and shouldn't be allowed to return when he's past his best and wanting that fat retirement contract.

No thanks, our team will be looking pretty dynamic up front once Sanchez is confirmed.

Probably just another effort to get an improved contract. Although, his form has been so poor he will be lucky to see out his current deal, never mind demanding an improved one.

I'd hate to see us pay crazy money for him. He's clearly in decline. In the last season in a half he's only been good for one spell of about 3 months.

No one's paying crazy money for him anymore. He's 33 and having an abysmal season.

But you overlook the most important part. No matter what he’s valued at. Hazard is worth more! And he wants to go to Real if the whispers can be believed

I hope for Ronnie sake he just retires in the next 2-3 years. I'd hate to see him do a Romario or Ronaldinho where he hops around between lesser clubs - or even more pathetic, go to the Middle East, MLS, or Asia.
It's unlikely that he would though — MLS fits in fantastically in his career trajectory. If he'll go there in a year or two, he'll dominate the league for another 3-4 years, given his dedication, and will make himself an even bigger figure on the U.S. market. He is pretty much an upgraded Beckham mentally (and physically), and he is nothing alike those Brazilians.

Celtic should lodge a cheeky bid. In the SPL he'd look the player he was 6 years ago.

Exactly. A lot of people still think he's the best.

The Ballon D'or is essentially awarded to the player (from the group of great players in the world) who had the best season. It's not an objective judgement on who is the best player in the world regardless of team success. The two are inextricably linked.

With #7 shirt gone, so should this rumor.
Cristiano wore #9 at Madrid before. There’s no reason he wouldn’t take the #10 at United.

Yes he has a brand and all that but if he REALLY wanted to come back, he wouldn’t care about a stupid number.

There are several reasons why even though I'm a huge fan of Ronaldo, I'm not in favor of Ronaldo coming as well since
1. Sanchez is here already
2. Sanchez's big wages could cause unrest within the dressing room already and CR7 arrival would that even further
3. CR7 coming would mean dropping Martial or Lukaku
4. More important of them all, his relationship with Mourinho is a little strained.

However, keeping with team chemistry, I think bringing in Mahrez whose a top quality player and doesn't have much of the diva issues and he's friends with Pogba and Lukaku makes him an ideal replacement for Mata.

Mahrez for the RW as Mourinho mentioned we lack competition for our attacking positions.
Martial, Lukaku, Mata, Lingard, Rashford and now Sanchez
Of them all, only Martial, Lukaku and Sanchez deserve to start regularly and maybe even Lingard based on form.

People fail to make that distinction generally.

The thing that stands out from all of this is that it has seemed the guy has never been happy for an entire season while he's been there. Always something to moan about.

Do not want back at all. Past his best and too much of a prima donna. Wages would also be astronomical and he would have to be a guaranteed starter every game.

I'm a fan of his but United comes first. I think signing him is a step backwards but that's only my opinion and what do I know.

Nah he’s a much bigger star now than he was back then. #7 at Real was taken up by Raul who was a Madrid legend so Ronaldo ultimately had to suck it up.

Besides, #10 looks better on Messi. ;)

Martial probably still wants #9 if it becomes available.
