If he genuinely wants a proper footballing challenge, he needs to be willing to take a short contract and a big pay cut.
oooooh. You're in for it now - there'll be swarms of ronaldo fans after you.Right now, on present form alone, Martial, Pogba, and Sanchez are better players than he is.

Kane is worth double of Ronaldo.I would prefer to put all that money into Kane to be honest .
Kane is worth double of Ronaldo.
I would just love it if Real could not sell him anywhere. And no top players want to go there realizing that Ronaldo is still their main man. I doubt the likes of Neymar, Hazard want to go there with Ronaldo still at the helm. Only Kane might be interested to go there since he can play at center forward and bring him in play.
But , once Ronaldo is actually available, I see clubs going for his signing because of his emmense commercial pull. I see he could move to PSG where there can easily win their domestic competition and there is less pressure to perform week in week out. ROnaldo will still bang in loads of goals. 200M+ Ronaldo for Neymar!!!
If it's about commercial pull it makes 0 sense swapping Ney for Ronaldo, they're not in PSG to make money, their main goal is putting PSG (Qatar) name in world media by winning or reaching a UCL final before their 2022 World Cup, they don't need to offload wages, to get 200M or Ronaldo in order to win the French league, and Neymar is the best weapon to conquer a UCL title in the next 4 years.
The grand scheme of things for those guys is having a Qatar fueled team conquering the UCL (broadcasted by beIN) to create hype around their product with a climax in the 2022 World Cup, Ronaldo would've been an important part of that had he joined PSG 4 or 3 years ago like it was rumoured in their race to stir hype, now he's not that important to them, probably not even Messi would be considered a better investment than Neymar going forward.
At this point, Neymar is a better investment in pitch and off the pitch combined. But if Neymar starts to throw tantrums, constantly complaining and indeed shows desire to play for Madrid, then PSG might have to think, even though they hardly care about their money.
Because of FFP regulations, they might want to settle for Ronaldo if the situation arises that they have to choose between Ronaldo and Neymar, provided Neymar desperately want to move.
I dont think either. Thats why i said just in case Neymar pushes to move to Madrid, otherwise PSG will happily have Neymar.I don't think Ronaldo and Neymar are comparable in terms of viability at this point. Neymar is in the middle of his peak career years where Ronnie is winding down.

He's having an off season, so is the team, but he's still banging in goals, just not at the mega rate he was at. Actually the stats are quite telling.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cristiano_Ronaldo#Club look at the goals per season column.
If he doubles his goals, it'll be the second year in a row there was a decline. To put it into perspective though, he'd still have like 40 goals i reckon. Mind you i think he's still goo for 20-30 a season for the next couple of years.
For me though, it's a no.
Pretty sure it was dead as soon as we handed out the 7 shirt (and rightfully so).
They will seek to finance their summer transfer spree by selling their old big three Roanldo, Benzema and probably Bale.
The smart thing would be instead of financing their future galacticos we should hijack those deals. At least Kane.
But if he's not good enough, get rid. He's young with a strong back and a lifetime's fortune already. Besides, the shorter he's been here the less sentiment there needs to be.So goodbye Lukaku after one season at the club? Harsh.
You’re being ridiculous. Lukaku is a top player and has done well for us. Sanchez will only make him better. But if he's not good enough, get rid. He's young with a strong back and a lifetime's fortune already. Besides, the shorter he's been here the less sentiment there needs to be.
Not saying he's not a good player, the jury is still out on Lukaku. I'm disputing whether it would be harsh to get rid of a player after a single seaon if he's not going to cut it. I think not at all. Shed any tears yet over Mkhi? You’re being ridiculous. Lukaku is a top player and has done well for us. Sanchez will only make him better.
Lukaku has been much better than Mkhitaryan at United. Not saying he's not a good player, the jury is still out on Lukaku. I'm disputing whether it would be harsh to get rid of a player after a single seaon if he's not going to cut it. I think not at all. Shed any tears yet over Mkhi?
Right but the principle of binning someone after a season is still a sound one.Lukaku has been much better than Mkhitaryan at United.
I would be shocked if anyone paid a fee for him considering his wages.
I honestly can’t see how they could get rid off him.
Yeah it’s basically only us, City, PSG and Barca that could afford his wages. He won’t go to Barca or City. Madrid don’t exactly have a lot of bargaining power. They’ll soon realise demanding a big fee for him is futile when no one bites. Everyone knows he’s only going downhill from here.

Mikhi has had very little impact, Lukaku had a great start, went through a rough patch, but is contributing in many ways besides just scoring. It would be silly to get rid of him after just one season. Let's wait and see how Alexis changes the dynamic for the rest of the team.[/QUOTE]
Precisely, team is crying out for someone transformational in attack. Could liberate some bottled up talents.
Let's say he came for a comparatively nominal fee on well crafted wages as a pure goalscorer, you wouldn't want him for 2 years? He should go back to Sporting and end his career where it started
Ronaldo has worn 9 before. It won’t be an issue. Besides squad numbers mean feck all lol. Ibra took the 9 when Martial had it. Valencia only had 7 for one season, etc.Let's forget this once and for all, the number 7 shirt has gone and belongs to Sanchez.
Ronaldo if he's lucky will go to Paris at best!
hopefully it does, we arent retirement club for him to collect his last massive paycheckSanchez having the 7 doesn’t confirm that Ronaldo isn’t coming.
