Another lightweight player who won't help us getting bullied every game.
Big fan of his but has dodgy hamstrings - worth the risk on loan. We very rarely do loan deals though don't we? Falcao is the only high profile one I recall in recent years
Imagine swapping Ronaldo for Pulisic. Worse than signing Arnautovich ffs.
Signing unwanted players from domestic rivals can work out. We just did it with Jesus and Zinchenko. We had the error of selling Chelsea Giroud thinking he was past it.
But Pulisic is not one of these examples. Chelsea would willingly sell him to you and not worry about him doing well.
He'd be the first sub/depth option ahead of Elanga pretty much. We just need somebody there. Ideally left footed and. Can play on the right, but either way.He can be deployed in any of the attacking positions but has mostly played on the left. We’ve experimented with him in the #10 position and even as a false 9 up top.
I feel like the best move for CP is to drop down a level. What he needs in order to show his best form is a constant run of games where he is an undisputed starter. He’s never getting that here and I don’t think he will at United either. I don’t really see anything changing for him in a United shirt. He’ll look great one game and then disappear for the next few.
Bit of a weird post to make. Seems this is based off hopes and dreams more than anything elseSigning unwanted players from domestic rivals can work out. We just did it with Jesus and Zinchenko. We had the error of selling Chelsea Giroud thinking he was past it.

He might be better under a manager who plays attacking football though. Chelsea is a graveyard for attackers under Tuchel, you could sell anyone of your forwards and nobody would bat an eyelid. He can be deployed in any of the attacking positions but has mostly played on the left. I think this points to other signings coming in that will cost big money. I’m guessing Casemiro is more possible than others believe but to go from being linked to wide players for 40m plus to a loan signing screams funds being suddenly spent elsewhereI think him on loan isn’t bad at this stage.
Ten Hag wants a versatile forward and he can play left, right or centrally (right being preferred).
24 in September, keen to move due to the World Cup and lack of opportunity at Chelsea. Used to the PL and it’s physicality.
Don’t see the negatives in adding him to the set of forwards. Almost a replacement for Greenwood.
After City, we dominate the ball and spend more time attacking than anyone in the league statistically I think. So I don’t know where this myth that we somehow don't play attacking football comes form.He might be better under a manager who plays attacking football though. 2 games in. Brilliant.Signing unwanted players from domestic rivals can work out. We just did it with Jesus and Zinchenko.

Yeah but not through your attackers. It’s a defensive block that utilises your wingbacks very well but your forward line is an after thought. After City, we dominate the ball and spend more time attacking than anyone in the league statistically I think. He’s a winger mate not a CMWe need to be targeting Premier League players, preferably without CL football this season. I think Pulisic is a decent signing, he's an upgrade on our central mids currently but that's setting the bar very low. I think he's gettable despite the fact he will miss out on CL football playing more minutes in the league will be valuable for him.
+1On loan I’d have absolutely no complaints.
Would be a 1st Croatian in United sure.

No. Croatian yankisn’t he polish American?

That says much more about the individual players than it does Tuchel and his philosophy. As we saw this past weekend against Spurs (and last season up until injuries screwed us) our play is all about dominating possession, relentless high press, and wingbacks bombing forward to become extra attackers. Players like Lukaku or Werner who struggle to control a football isn’t Tuchel’s fault. Or players like Ziyech and Pulisic who get bullied constantly because they’re so slight.Yeah but not through your attackers. It’s a defensive block that utilises your wingbacks very well but your forward line is an after thought.
Name one forward you think has consistently played well under Tuchel and hasn’t drastically fallen away
I thought the rules have changed and they’re allowed to play against their parent club in the league now.I’m not a fan of loaning players from domestic rivals especially when they can’t play against that parent club for obvious reasons. Also chances are if the player does well then 1) they will probably want to keep him next season & 2) would want us to pay over the odds for him knowing how probably desperately we will want to sign him permanently.

I think you are third in basically every attack-related metric last season (except where indicated):
Goals scored, xG, npxG (4th), final third passes, passes into the penalty area, total key passes, progressive passes, total progressive passing distance, xA (4th), progressive carries, carries into the final third (2nd), carries into the penalty area.
City and Liverpool are predictably first or second for most of those categories. Spurs usually 4th.
I think you dominate through midfield and outside but it’s possession that doesn’t centre around the oppositions box. That says much more about the individual players than it does Tuchel and his philosophy. What you guys did under Ole was defensive football. Sit in a low block and counter attack. We are nothing like that.
He isn't guaranteed to start here either, so probably won't happen.
