Christian Pulisic

He failed to make an impression at Chelsea while playing alongside the likes of Lukaku, Werner, and Ziyech. Pretty underwhelming and more sloppy seconds.
All of these have struggled under Tuchel. Pulisic has no place at Chelsea.

Bit of a sick note but as far as loan deals go, you cannot go wrong and obvious marketability factor in the US with jerseys flying off the shelves.

Surprised so many people are down on him - always thought he's quite decent, rough around the edges and inconsistent but he's definitely got something about him - and he's only 23.

Say if this is actually true and if we were to loan him you'd want to, we'd have to have some sort of optional buy clause in there... I know that is a no-brainer/ obvious, but this is us we're talking about...

Sign. Sign anyone. I just don’t want to see the same names on the team sheet. Can’t take it anymore.

Random question - do we take The Athletic as being slightly more reliable then other sources these days? I can't really keep up.

Orstein who works for the Athletic is prolly the most accurate British journalist. He is basically England's Fabrizio Romano.

I’d much rather Garnacho was given a clear shot as backup for the left wing personally. Get a bloody left footed, right winger in though as that’s surely more a priority?

Fans just rate players that play for Dortmund a bit high.

Yeah after lockdown Lampard got the sack and Pulisic doesn't fit Tuchel's system. In fact most wingers won't do.

After his '19/20 post-lockdown form" Lampard stayed for half a season more into the 2020/21 season and Pulisic was in terrible form the whole time so it's not only down to the manager. And even under Lampard he was underwhelming prior to the first covid summer, though to be fair it was his first season in a new club and a new league so a little settling in period was expected.

Like I said, there's still a slight hope he could kick on in a new environment and start reaching his potential as he's still reasonably young but he's been given a lot of time at Chelsea and it just isn't happening for him.

Ta - So anyone else with the Athletic (so Mitten is behind this one) probably a bit less reliable?

He's great. He's also a Manchester United fan. Loan with option to buy would be absolutely awesome.

Better than elanga. But why are we going after him on loan rather than Ziyech? Ziyech is left footed and can play on the right. Do the same deal for him as a stop gap for Antony and not pulisic.

The Athletic are good, with a couple of really reliable journalists working for them. Ornstein being the main one. Whitwell and Mitten are also good for United

Wow dudes this will be like a cool signing. Awesome can't wait.

This will be a great acquisition if we can pull it off. Loan deal and young as well. Can't really go wrong here.

The athletic is the best source for pretty much all English clubs. Unsure for other clubs. But elite tier for all English clubs. Mitten is always the one with the best United sources.

Chelsea's deadwood, he is trash. It is like them loaning Rashford from us. Completely pointless

Big fan of his but has dodgy hamstrings - worth the risk on loan. We very rarely do loan deals though don't we? Falcao is the only high profile one I recall in recent years

he's a bit shit. if it's a last option loan with a low option to buy then sure. we need someone in. but this guy ain't it.

I’d take the loan deal if that’s all it is. Didn’t he rip the Liverpool defence last season and scored?

There’s definitely a player in there and still only 23. Worth it on loan with option to buy.

The Chelsea attack in general is pretty garbage and heavily reliant on WBs. None of their attackers really cover themselves in glory.

Havertz looks painfully average at #9, Mount is Mount, Werner / Sterling / Pulisic or whoever plays that other attacking spot looks pretty bad most of the time.

I think he might do well for us, but injuries are a concern.

To all the people saying we are desperate, of course we are desperate! We wasted best part of 3 months waiting for FDJ to come and just saw our team get spanked 4-0, we are scrambling to get literally anyone in at this point.

No matter what BS they tell you about how so and so player was on our radar since some time, every signing now is an obvious panic buy.
