Christian Pulisic

That says much more about the individual players than it does Tuchel and his philosophy. As we saw this past weekend against Spurs (and last season up until injuries screwed us) our play is all about dominating possession, relentless high press, and wingbacks bombing forward to become extra attackers. Players like Lukaku or Werner who struggle to control a football isn’t Tuchel’s fault. Or players like Ziyech and Pulisic who get bullied constantly because they’re so slight.

What you guys did under Ole was defensive football. Sit in a low block and counter attack. We are nothing like that.

Dominating possession does not also translate in to attacking football by the way.

As @cyberman states I can’t think of a single attacking player that has delivered. Even bright prospects like CHO have faded.

Bit too much of a coincidence

His end product is shite. An improvement on Elanga, granted, but is this where we’re at?
Wasn’t this answered when we tried signing Arnautovic while getting smashed by Brighton and Brentford?

He’s better than what we have but that bar is extremely low.

I like him, but best on counters, and we shouldnt loan an injury-prone player.

That’ll be the current Martial situation over again where we rely on someone not available.

We would know (LVG).

Anybody can see Chelsea's attack is their weaklink. How much of that falls on Tuchel and how much on the players who knows but like a good Chelsea fan he thinks it's all on the players.

I thought the rules have changed and they’re allowed to play against their parent club in the league now.

Not that I’m aware of. I know players can play against their parent clubs in European competition if they are on loan to a club in a different country. Similar to Dalot when he played against us in the EL for AC Milan.

Pulisic has been kind of lost under Tuchel as he is much more effective playing as a wide forward in a front 3, either wing in 4-2-3-1 or as a supporting striker with a proper number 9. Tuchel likes to play his two supporting forwards much more narrow and he prefers players that are a little more AMs than Wingers in those positions. Just not a good fit for Pulisic. Think he needs a move and can do a good job if used in the right way. As a Spurs fan, actually hope it is not United.

CHO had a devastating Achilles injury and hasn’t been close to the same since. His form has nothing to do with our tactics.

Finishing all the chances we create is our problem, not attacking setup or Tuchel’s tactics. Players missing a hundred sitters (like we saw again last weekend) is our biggest issue.

A waste of time. Good player, at least potentially, but we need people available to compete for places every week. Create some competition and add quality.

Its perfectly obvious why we are in for him.

There was a report suggesting Liverpool have taken over United in terms of fans in USA.

The Glazers want to sign a American player to get more money.

You still haven’t named one attacking player that’s thrived under Tuchel though?!

He's a marketing juggernaut in the States. For that reason alone the Glazers would love him.

Have you ever even seen him play?

Wonder how some people form their opinions

Yes, and he's not better than anyone United have. A loan for depth may not be the worst, but what's really the point?

Two games played
We have a genuinely excellent and I think world class manager in EtH. But there’s only so much he can do. Our squad is a halfway house and has been a half way house for a few years now.

EtH should be given a free hit this year with this squad. He’s got 3 of his guys in this year that will probably stay the same till the end of the window. Hopefully we can bring in another 3-4 next summer after which I’d expect us to be challenging for top 4.

I don’t know why that’s funny. He is right. We won’t be anywhere near the top 4 this year.
Do you need more than 2 games to tell you that we aren't challengers? Look at our transfer window. Barring a miracle, we have no chance at top 4. In our current state we'll be lucky for top half.

Let's see at the end of the season lads :D

Not better or worse than our current options in attack and won't add much of quality.

His only value coming here is to bolster the numbers..

He is a step up over Elanga and any bench option for sure. I think he could push Rashford for his spot and if not, we actually have an attacker that can do something coming off the bench

Let’s try to loan Pulisic AND Ziyech which gives us plenty of depth out wide with Sancho and Rashford also around and with Garnacho it’d also allow us to use Rashford through the middle as back up to Martial and whatever striker is brought in to replace Ronaldo.

Based on what, though? He's been shite for Chelsea. At least Rashford has proven he can do it in the PL.

What has Rashford proved? A few months of good counter attacking football under Ole?

If so, Pulisic had that good run of form with Chelsea as well so you can't say he has never done it in the premier league. He was a good player for Dortmund as well as the U.S national team. Not to mention Pulisic has 70 or so appearances for Chelsea. Rashford has 250 for Man United. I'm willing to give one player more time.

Why not go for the hat trick and see if they'll chuck us Lukaku as well, then we can have three failed Chelsea forwards instead of just the two.

You can't loan more than one player from same team. You want both at least one have to be permanant signing.

Isn't he a fecking Trumper? Sod that.

Are we going to vet the political opinions of every player we sign? just to make sure they like the same people 'we' do.

Having said that I don't think he is much of an upgrade on what we have and adds no physicality to a team that badly needs it. Can't really see the point of taking him.
