Or in behind the physicality of Rasmus, with pace either side of him. It’s not his fault the manager keeps playing him in a role that’s he’s completely unsuited to.
This so much this, he simply gets to much hate, he has always been able to run a full match, he also had to do important defensive elements in late game, which he did.. he is not defensive, he is on Bruno´s spot, if you want him to work you need to place him there, and he will divide the ball around for 90 minutes without issues.
the chances he gets there is like 10-20 minutes, or yes a few starts, with a team around him, that is not used to him, he is nearly never passed in position.. he created more goal chances in the 20 minutes than the whole team did in the match... so he will be this fringe player, as long as ETH wants to play him along side ETH, the same has happened on the Danish National Team, our old coach played with building up the team around Eriksen, 18 goals i think in 19 matches, and so many assists.. the bullshit coach we have today, again focuses on other things, and he becomes this "key player" in buildup, but not the value he can create..
i think that he is also faulted for his resting face a lot, i runs constantly but people make him out as tired. he is not.
I think he is wasted... also he is a Free kick specialists, and a Bruno that has not hit ANYTHING still keeps taking them. WHY??? the guy has not been near a goal
It is the same with Højlund, he has value when you play him in the "startup" Man Utd tends to just look for Rashford, and yes it worked yesterday in one instance..... because he found Rasmus, but if you have a strong center forward, throw it up on him, and get it OUT to rashford from that station.
I think Christian´s biggest issue, which also Conte actually tried to push him on, is his lack of EGO, you see Rashford and Fernandes just going for it, right now it just looks like a waste, but they do get a goal from time to time, Christian tends to "do his job" which also means when Casemiro, or McT or whoever goes a bit to far up, he goes down.. i miss the old Christian from the early Tottenham days or ESPECIALLY Ajax, where he was less of a team player (still a big one) but went for it. i have not seen many balls hit him in the field, without him converting it.
