Making the team tick, developing an understanding with Bruno. Wanted him here years ago but really didn't think he could be so effective in this role. What an assuring presence
 
Always been a great presser, that much we knew since Spurs, what many were concerned about was how he'd perform after his heart issues and so far he's been supreme. It Will be nice to try him out as the AM but I guess we also need Bruno's pressing ability up there too especially as only one of our front three seem able to press at any particular time.

I still think he dallies a bit too much on the ball in the middle though.
 
MotM today. That was a masterpiece performance.
 
His contribution to the first and second goal is exactly the type of passes we have missed the last couple of years.. Brilliant.. Such an important signing!

Yes. Since Carrick retired we have lacked anyone who breaks the lines with passes.

As I have said before, it's great to see Eriksen being able to cope with playing deep. It can be hurly burly but at key moments he gets on the ball and play. De Jong refusing to come to United may be the making of Eriksen's career at Old Trafford.
 
He's a quality signing, I've wanted him since before he went to spurs. Extremely impressive performance today.

I still think that Eriksen & McTominay aren't a complimentary partnership — even when both are playing well individually, we're still sorely lacking control in midfield. But Eriksen was really good and I was surprised by his stamina — unlike usually, he kept running and pressing right until the very end and it paid off.

The way I see it we could be better with a midfield three of Eriksen, Casemiro and McTominay in an organization inspired by Real with Modric, Casemiro and Valverde. With the current organization the players are fine individually but collectively they are disjointed there is little synergy.
 
The definition of a playmaker, we need another one in his ilk because his profile of a midfielder is necessary for us to play well.
 
I worried for him in the the deeper role but he looks so comfortable, just controls the game.
 
Might be unpopular because people are feeling off of a win. But Bruno shouldn't be played. This team would be so much better when Casemiro Fred/Mctom AND Eriksen plays CAM. We would actually be able to keep the ball, hold possession, pass better. Bruno just goes for glory passes which come off 20% of the time, yeh sure it might lead to a goal but it also leads to chances against us.

And Eriksen would make every pass Bruno made today AND he would keep possession far better too
 
Brains we've been missing in midfield/team since Mata.
 
MotM display. The runs he makes from deep compliments his superb passing range. He is the midfield fulcrum. Haven't had this type of player since Carrick. Beauty.
 
The assist to Rashford is football at the highest level.

He scanned the position of all players around him, then when he's done with it, he didn't even have a look at Rashford final position. Just released it perfectly, no chance for Saliba/Gabriel to intercept that.

Some of the comments before the season started, where some people thought he would be more a bit part player :lol: .

He's been possibly the most consistent player in this team. Such an intelligent footballer. Absolutely adore him.
 
Eriksen has been so much better than I thought he would be. We have needed a player like him in midfield for quite a while.
 
Superb today.
The work on the third goal just sums him up. Great run, and totally unselfish recognising a much better opportunity for his teammate.
 
He’s been brilliant so far.

one of the first names on our team sheet and rightly so.
 
I wouldn't be surprised, if he has covered more ground than every other player on the pitch... from both teams. I said the day he was announced that i'll always have time for players of his skill and intelligence. Absolute gem of a footballer.

Bruno's off the ball work and picking up spaces with Eriksen behind him is killing teams right now. It's much more about keeping the ball, it's what you do off it and Bruno is superior especially on a defensive pressing and closing down.
 
MotM. I just hope him playing so much doesn't get him injured. He needs a rest now.
 
Wonderful player. He's been involved in most of our good football this season yet people downplay him as he's not flashy.
 
Gave Rashford MOTM over him purely because he was very lucky to get away with the VAR incident in the first half. Class overall though.
